Talent wise, Marshall is up there with the better receivers in the NFL.

He just needs to keep his head clean. It's boom or bust, so they'd have to see if the risk is worth the reward.

Part of the reason why I would want Marshall is because I think back to how much success Arizonas offense had againt Pittsburghs D. The cards 2 WRs spread Pittsburghs D. That would help open up more room for Jamal and the running game. Also I feel like either we take a chance on Marshall or let a team like Balitmore get him. I just don't want to see Marshall tearing us up in a Ravens uni. Maybe I'm just crazy

Why could I see Marshall winding up with the Patriots ...... (who always seem to have multiple extra draft picks lying around) and becoming a model citizen and exceptional asset?

I don't want him on the Browns and I don't want him in the division. I'm fairly sure our regime is thinking the same thing.

There is possibly 0% chance that Mangini would look to bring in a player like Marshall as he tries to place his signature on this team.

Possibly after we have gained success and the team is well structured there could be a malcontent in our future and he would have to conform to our team ways (similar to Moss in NE) but until then M/K will not even sniff at a player like Marshall.

Agreed. However, with all the "high" character talk I am anxious to see what they do with Stallworth. Here's a guy who just got convicted of a serious crime and has a history of being a slacker. I wonder how they address him.

We've heard talk of character from the past 3 regimes, but haven't seen any real action.. This regime seems different in that they drafted based on character...........I'll be curious if they demonstrate that across the board.

You can "get-away-with" a couple of bad seeds and still have a good crop. But overall, great character is a solid key to success in any endeavor. I believe Mangini knows, and is implementing, this. I think it will pay off.

Cut him..dude is a waste. When he didn't have this incident I thought it was a turrible decision to sign him..U can bank it that the league will suspend him additional games..say like 8 -10 game if they're even that easy..I don't expect him back this season.

*LOL* .... your kidding me .. right .. did u fall on your head or did Da Man log in as u .... not even he could say sumptin that ludicrous ...

even with that group .. were not even in the discussion for the 2nd or 3rd level for the best group of recievers in football ..

Cribbs and a pick .... not quite sure why either side would do that ... if its Cribbs it would need to be a 1st or 2nd rnd pick ... and I see no way we'd do that ..

and why in the hell would Denver give up Marshall for Cribbs and a 3rd or 2nd day pick?? ...

NOT A SHOT IN HELL ..

gotta disagree with you on that one Diamdawg. Edwards and Marshall would make a fine duo, and if Robiskie is as advertised- then a solid possession #3. I would put the duo of Edwards and Marshall in the top ten of the league, maybe top five. Still want no part of the guy.

If he did end up going to the Pats and turned it around, then that would be a great story. With Moss, Galloway, and Welker, there's no room for him though. But if he can end up going somewhere and not do stupid crap any more, then I'd be happy.

You probabally think I'm a dolt but I don't understand why you would feel this way please explain

Marshall is a top 5 WR, BE is decent and Robo would be a very good slot WR.

Very good comparison there.

Except talent wise, Marshall is quite a bit better.

Shame he has so many issues - if only he was a professional and was a pillar of the community.

No .. i do not think your a dolt .. I think U way over rate all 3 of these guys at this point in there NFL careers ...

Edwards is coming off one of the worst season s by a WR in the history of football ... he has had 1 good year ... 1 ... thats a TOTAL OF ONE .. very very very UNPROVEN ..

he is a ME GUY ... a HUGE ME GUY ... he is not a GOOD TEAMATTE except when he wants to be ..

his hands are VERY VERY VERY QUESTIONABLE .. he has ALWAYS HAD MAJOR PROBLEMS with drops ..

Marshall played in a GREAT O for offensive players ... he put up some very very good numbers .. in a HIGH OCTANE O ...

he also has QUESTIONABLE HANDS ... he dropped way more of his share of EASY ASS PASSES ..

he also does NOT BLOCK ... not that thats very important ....

last year he was suspended for a game .. swore it would not happen again .. then he gets arrested again .. how Goodell did not suspend him again is beyond me ..

U WANNA COUNT ON THIS GUY?? ... and lets see how he reacts playing in an O whos games don't resemble arena league football more than the NFL .. playihg in Denver as a WR is VERY VERY EASY .. lets see how he reacts when he does not get the ball thrown to him once a series ...

and robo has yet to even yake a snap on TC .. before I annoint him I would like for him to at least take a snap in TC ... he COULD be GOOD ... I think he will be GOOD ... but I'd like to see it first ...

sorry man ... these guys have as many questions so far in there careers as they do answers .. and 2 of them have THE DROPSIES ...

naa .. i like my WR;s to actually catch the ball ..

agreed, Charlie... and I'd pass on this one.

Talent is just a part of the total package you're buying. When that talent comes with this much negative baggage, the cost/effectiveness factor comes into play. Dude's a season-long suspension just waiting to erupt... and we want him to do it on our watch? Pleeeeeeze.

In this case, there's no guarantee that this dude will even finish A SINGLE SEASON of active duty, due to his history of off-field issues. A player which you payed millions of dollars and given up draft picks for, I might add.

I don't care how talented a player is, he's worthless and totally unproductive if he's serving suspension time off the field. He might as well be on IR. And this guy seems like a slam-dunk disciplinary no-show on game day, considering his personal history.

Some things are subject to question. Some things are painfully obvious. This one's so obvious, it requires morphine to deal with. Dumb move, 9 ways to Sunday.

Given the shrewd way Kok and Mang have manipulated our situation to date, I can't imagine that they're even remotely considering adding this known carcinogen to the mix they've worked so hard to create.

Marshall's great for hypothetical fodder on a message board, but trust me- to guys like Mangini and Kokinis, he's a poison that will end up in some other team's medicine cabinet...

I have to agree with Diam on this one......

Braylon is in his last year...he is gonna stud out (this year anyway) and we can look to add someone else next year if we feel the need. So NO on the Marshall coming here!!!!

Masso and Robbo have yet to play......a BIG question mark at this point.

Patton and Furrey (sp) are more able to contibute if you are evaluating now...and even if Masso and Robbo even play up to there potential....they wont max out enough to put them ina a group with a improved Edwards and get us even in the top 5 WR groups.

Alot of IFS and YETS at this point.

It seems like a nicer more content Diam here lately......

What gives?

I didn't say I'd buy his jersey. I'm just tired of losing and this guy can help win us games. TO was a problem in Philly but he helped them get to the SB as well.

Wow, That is one lucky dude. He's spoken to the police or been involved an incredible amount of times. How he's always gotten out of having charges filed is crazy. One or two I get, but wow, that's just nuts.

Desperation can drive a man to make foolish choices, Bite.

I wanna win as much as you do,,, but if I'm thinking like a GM, I don't go anywhere near the guy, for the reasons I laid out in my previous post.

All this dude needs is one more mess-up, and we're looking at suspension time for him... and a guy who's suspended is worthless, as far as on-field impact is concerned. If that happens, you've paid out FA bux for a guy who takes up space on the pine plank. With SOOOOOOOOOOO many scrapes with the law, sooooo many instances of actionable behavior, and with such regularity, what makes you think that this leopard has changed even one spot?

Trust me... he's a melt-down waiting to happen. And with our luck, it'll happen while he's wearing orange & brown.

NO bang for the buck? Pretty lousy deal, if you ask me.

I say, let him go be someone else's ticking time bomb... on their dime.

If your his girlfriend I'd say .. HELL YA hes toruble ....

Deep

A new gentlier Diam .. trying to play nicer with others .... we'll see how long it takes them to push me back to being me ....

I like where were at ... TALENT WISE that is .. we FINALLY have a SOLID FOUNDATION .... were set talent wise for our window to FINALLY be OPEN very soon ... and I give Opie alot of credit for that ... instead of bashing this guy .. folks oughta be Thanking him for the shape he left us in .. I know Jeannie and Coke are ..

and so far our new staff has not stuck there foot in there mouth ... and there building credibility within the team ... like what i see so far as far as bringing in quality people (funny I say that i a thread about bringing this dude in) ... and the discipline there instilling ... I also like hos there handling the CORONATION ...

so IMO things are pretty good ..

i'd rather go with edwards. i think he's gonna bounce back this year.

and if he leaves, we franchise him and get something, if not, i'd love to keep him around, because he is in fact a good player, he just needs to grow up a little bit.
