The commentary looks pretty much the same. But I love the new graphics of the fans, coaches, and the interactions at key points in the game. Makes it feel a little more like a real game. I love that the Ravens lose and it was nice seeing the Ravens fans booing their team and leaving in disgust at the end
I gave up on Madden a couple years ago when they started to get really crappy...The thing that bothers me is every year they overhype their game and people buy it. Overall it ends up being just like last year's version if not 100% of the same.

i think the last few years have been sub-standard, not because of competition, but because of the fact that it was next gen.
they haven't fully been able to understand and utilize the next technology on the 360 and ps3.
last year's was such a vast improvement over the prior year, and i really think this year makes a jump too.
if you look back, it was the same on the xbox. they were crappy up until 2006, which in my opinion, blows away any football game i have ever played, including the 2k series.
but in 2007 madden came out with their version on the 360 and it was poor. 2008 was a little better but still poor, i thought last year's game was solid
and from what i have seen and read, 2010 is going to be a hit.
my beef is the price. i get hooked up with games, and i don't know if i'd be dropping 60 bones on any sports game.
sports games should be 20-30 every year, because there are only a few new things in terms of rosters and gameplay.
Yup, I never buy new games upon release. I wait a few weeks/months and get them off eBay used. It might only save $5-10 after the first month but that's a decent savings if you're really dying to have the game early. If you wait about 3 months, it's a 50% savings.
