That's why I like them...they look more sinister than the turd brown we had before.

The shiny brown pants at the Giant pre-game were just dang awful. These look a shade better.

Yeah on body beautiful QB it looks good. On a 300+ pound lineman it kind of kills my appetite.

Our play will make us look like turds more than our uni's...

I could handle a total uniform overhaul. It would have to be done tastefully, though, and I think that therein lies the problem. I can still remember when the "everybody redesign their uniforms" bug bit the NBA in the late 90s/early 2000s...that didn't work out well for anybody involved. I prefer a timeless uniform to one that looks flashy but becomes dated quickly.

The Cavs changed their uniforms in the early 2000's....I think that change worked out rather well.

The ship's lookout in the crows nest called to the Captain. "I see a French warship on the horizon". The captain asked the first mate to bring him his red shirt. The first mate asked "Why do you want your red shirt?" The captain replied "If a French bullet would hit me, I don't want my crew to see the blood"

Shortly after the lookout called down again "I see five more French battleships". The Captain told the first mate "Bring me my brown pants".

I suppose it was more mid-90s than late-90s, looking back, but I'm thinking the uniforms of the Cavs, Pistons, Jazz, as well as the uniforms of the Raptors and Grizzlies when they came into the league.

NFL teams that have updated their uniforms have managed to keep it pretty classy so far, but we know this franchise's track record of doing the right thing over the past few years.

Or they could have kept them the same and then just still won the lottery and LeBron.

I know it's not popular to say, but maybe they should change the uniform. Exercise the ghost of Modell out of our system. People act as if the uniform would change somehow it would hurt the tradition. Hurt what, sucking for over a decade? The last championship team had a logo, the Brownie king, I have a pennant from the game.......in excellent condition I might add.

The Browns CURRENTLY have logo's. MORE logos than the last championship team. What are you talking about? The Browns have never had anything on their helmets besides numbers, never a logo.

While I'm ranting, what is the reason behind no cheerleaders? I've mention this and was looked at like a traitor. I don't get it. I was talking about this with a stiller fan and he said they think we have no cheerleaders because we are all gay. (not that there's anything wrong with that )

You might want to rant to your Steelers fan friend that.....THEY don't have cheerleaders either.

Awesome!

I've been waiting for the Brown/Brown combo. I don't like the White jersey with Brown pants. Heck, I wouldn't mind Orange jersey with Brown pants.

If my opinion mattered:

Home: White pants / Brown jersey
Road: White pants / White jersey
Alternate Home: Orange pants / Brown jersey
Alternate Road: Brown pants / Brown jersey

Just to point out, it is up to our road game opponents what jersey we are wearing.

he was talking NBA changes....but of the ones you listed I liked both the Bucs and Rams uni's better. Also throw in NE's change as a positive.

The Broncos and the Seahawks....not thrilled with (though the Broncos old ones were just as ugly).

for other NFL uni changes:

Good:
Love the all white Jet uni's.
Like the NYG newer helmets (hate all the extra red in the uni though)
Like the Chargers going with more powder blue more often (wish they'd do it more often without the numbers on the helmet)

Bad:
Buffalo (go back to the white helmet)

Did I miss any other "major" changes from the last 10 years or so? (not counting Titans, Texans, Jags, Panthers, Ravens as they all sort of started from scartch in new cities).

Don't forget those horrible Bucks jerseys they changes to as well. And the Nuggets at the time too.

NBA teams seemed to have realized their mistakes though as all those teams have adjusted their uni's somewhat and most to much more tolerable designs. The ugly uniforms for the most part in the NBA are reserved for the "throwback" jerseys they create to make more jersey sales and the teams have found the more outlandish, the more they sell.

Detroit has a new logo design and uni's this year.

I don't really count their design change as "major" they made the Lion mad and added a little more black.

from a casual glance, you won't be able to tell (and it's not like anyone is going to closely watch a Lions game )
