pretty solid game. after a few tries, seems more realistic, flows a little better. presentation a tad bit better.

definitely not as bad as the dude on this board who gave it a 4, the guy who hates everything.

I love this game. And most Madden players, who play the game like it's supposed to be played, do love this game.

The ones who hate this game are the ones who roll out of the pocket every play and chuck it deep. You can't do that anymore. The defenses are much more aware.

And, you can't throw on every play, just like you can't run on every play. The defenses will pick up on it. Which makes play-action much more effective this year than previous years.

are the different consoles compatible with each other online?

as in, can a ps2 player play online with a 360, wii, or ps3 player? or are they all exclusive communities?

yes, im the guy with a ps2. and yea i would love to have the ps3 but spent the 400 bucks on diapers and formula. lol.

no, they are 2 completely different networks, i think that'd be cool if they could somehow make one universal network between the two.

and if you want a ps3, keep your eyes open in the near future as they are going to lower the price on the ps3 and slim it down.

she's not a big time gamer, but she enjoys the puzzle games and is a gigantic fangirl of bioshock. she plans on buying bioshock 2 the second it hits shelves.

if i could only get her to be a football fan.

Just clicking here...

Has anyone tried getting to the QB playing along the D-Line? It's ridiculous you could be a milimeter away from a sack and if an O-Lineman gets so much as a finger on you, the graphics have the guy LOCKING YOU UP COMPLETELY despite moment carrying you in a straight line to the QB...

Also... there can be a safety in between the hashes. You throw a bomb right down the left sideline that takes 1.5 seconds to get there. Guess who magically was able get to the sideline? Yup... that same safety.

The whole "hit as he throws" thing is a bit overdone.

A DB can be in man coverage running with the WR. He is the ONLY defender on that side and he's running stride for stride with the wideout. You have a running back leak out into the flats uncovered. Despite having his back turned to you and running with the WR (as he is the only one that side of the field) the SECOND you throw the ball to your RB... he stops running with the WR instantly and is smack... right on your RB as soon as he touches it.

Last complaint is the switching of players on Defense into live action. I find that it's really choppy and that switching players to the closest one to the ball is not as fluid as in years past....

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy the game and like to play it, it's just that I find the gameplay to be a touch unrealistic and kind of crappy. I'm sick of having to pay $65 for this game year in and year out just to have them to a slight half-assed upgrade to it. It's just turning to be a bad investment I'm feeling... Oh well, at least I still have Blue-Ray capabilities and the online gameplay is free

I just purchased it yesterday .... my thoughts are ....

Why did it come on slow speed? Why not put the game in normal and let you decide what you want? I started a quick game and was ready to take it back to the store when a buddy told me that you can change the speed of the game. I felt like I was playing in slow motion.

Does anyone have a hard time running the football on all-madden with our Brownies?

I think this version of Madden is great. The presentation is quality, the gameplay is smooth, and there are a lot of options to change how you play. I've only done franchise to this point, but I like how it asks you to sim as soon as a game is over so you don't have to wait and do it in the schedule menu.

I took our Browns and traded Jamal to Arizona for Breaston (trade block - lewis for a WR over 79), signed Shagg Makino off the free agent list (i was looking for speed since I throw to my running backs a lot), and put DA on the block with no takers (looking for RB over 80 and RG over 80). I am 7-3 with wins over Baltimore (hardest team to play against so far), Pgh and I dominated the NFC North.

Also, I forgot to add that I like the new soundtrack. I like driving down the field with Sabotage playing in the background . . .

played a fantastic game yesterday in my season, against the ravens. typical ravens style game, low scoring, field position, etc..

kept to the running game, a lot of 2's and 3's, but as the game progressed, i wore them down, and he broke one late in the game. i really enjoyed it, very realistic. it seemed like lewis was better as the game went on which is very fitting of how it works with him. loved it. i enjoy this game, big step up from last year.

Yeah, it's very realistic. Playing online, I play with Carolina, and their run game is unstoppable.

You up for a game later?

I've only played with the Browns and I have had the same kind of running patterns. Lot of 2 and 3 yard gains, then I'll break a long one. Then back to the 2's and 3's. Anybody play with anybody else besides the Browns? I have only tried them so far since I am in a Franchise and I work a lot of hours. I think this Madden is the best since the days of the original Xbox

See thats the thing, Madden is supposed to be a simulation game, and its not. Theres more glitches and unrealistic parts of the game than ever. Game isn't realistic at all. The gameplay isn't ok, or bad, its downright awful. The only difference in this game, "pro tak" and new presentation. Same passing glitches, defensive speed glitches. The very physics of the game aren't even realistic, atleast get the physics right, speed, change of direction, momentum, inertia, any of the above. I love it when a 225 back is running full tilt, on a break away run, and a 175 corner, whos not moving, flattens the RB.

Bring back 2K, bring back some competition for EA, we'd have a game 1000x better than the piece of crap madden 2010 is. People forget how much better the early 2000's maddens were because of the fierce competition between 2K. Once EA bought the exclusive rights, that was the end of madden.

This is fancy looking arcade football game, not a simulation. But I hate everything, so I'm disqualified....watch football, then play the game...pretty sad.

madden 2006 still ranks as one of the best football games, if not THE best football game of all time. and that was after electronic arts bought the rights.

i really don't buy the whole "well ea doesn't try as hard because they don't have competition"

really? with the economy the way it is? you don't think there was pressure to put out a product that people would want to drop 60 bucks on?

madden 2007 and 2008 were lackluster because of the console upgrade. just like it was in 2001 and 2002 because of the new xbox and ps2.

look from the inception of the 360, madden has gotten increasingly better each and every single year. is that a coincidence?

madden 10 is solid. there are still problems, but outside of a very, very select set of video games, what game doesn't have problems?

fallout 3 has its share of problems, yet that is easily the game of the year.

madden 10 is a close 9 out of 10. the game keeps getting better.

i'm smoking everyone on it...it's so easy to play. i'm not sure what to make of it....it's a little slower...but i'm nto sure if that adds to the realism of the game or hurts it.
