I just called a few travel agents and the prices I am finding online aren't much better than theirs. Some hotels out there are almost $200 a night Anyone know how far scottsdale is from Tempe/Glendale/PHX? I asked about flying out of Akron or C-Bus and it is more expensive, esp Columbus. Lee whta hell r u talkin about man....try sidestep.com... The cheapest ticket i found on sidestep.com was 352 frm columbus to AZ - phoenix. and it was 192 if u go to vegas! lol thats like 3-4 hours away i think... PS- that was couple of days ago

I did check out sidestep and found about the same prices mostly, a few I had like 3 layovers and screw that. I am about to go back and then just try to book the hotel seperate and see if thats cheaper. I am still not sure on a hotel though, I am trying to get feedback oin the areas of town and distance, ect.

I am counting down the days man, I can't wait!!
All of my friends backed out so it is just me which kinda sucks. There is a chance a few will still go but prob not, but I hoped to meet up with DT'ers out there. I am hoping I can find a ticket after halftime maybe, but if not I will be at the stadium for all the things going on and I am cool with that. Maybe after the game they will let me in to celebrate or something.
Closer to the date we should exchange cell #'s.

Kick ass! Let me know if you do get it. I still don't know exactly where our seats are, all I know is it's upper endzone. There looks like there's only one endzone seating when you look at the stadium, since the field is rolled in through the other side. There was a 3D view of the field I was looking at off the net.

You're right, but for major games (Fiesta Bowl, Super Bowl and BCS Championship) they will be putting up temporary seating in south end zone to expand the capacity by about 10,000.

Ahhhhhh, interesting. I saw from the stadium chart that there is actually 2 rows above the endzone seating on a sort of walkway. I was wondering if that's what they're considering upper endzone. My brother-in-law said that's what our tickets our supposed to be- upper endzone. Or maybe it was reserve endzone.... I'll have to ask them when we actually get the tickets. I'm sure we won't get them until we actually know who we're playing.

I'm gonna miss 2 days of work because of the game. I'm low on vacation hours since I took 7 weeks of FMLA this year for Kenleigh. I had to call off yesterday, which I hate to do, because of Kenleigh not eating at all. I thought she would dehydrate if I didn't stay home to feed her and someone else did (she has a feeding aversion and only drinks her bottle when asleep)....anyways....that took 8 more hours away, and I have like 2 days worth of vacation hours left. Sucks. I won't be taking any days off till next summer when I go on a golfing trip in June.

Ohh that stinks, but she is so worth it ya know. How is she doing BTW? Mine is getting potty training, I am happy about that! I just lucked out b/c I took a layoff for a month b/c of the baby thats coming and it starts on Dec 15th till Jan 15th and I collect 80% of my wages. I got a little promotion and work with our sales dept now so if they come back early then I have to take 3 days vacation but I told them I deff won't be there hehe. I really can't wait b/c my last final is Dec 14th and b/w work, school, Ali and the new baby, I need a damn break. This is so perfect!

Well, if anything I think her feeding aversion has gotten worse. Sometimes, more often than not, she doesn't even want her binky anymore. I'm thinking about asking for a referral to a child psychologist. We still feed her when she sleeps. She is drinking more at one time, but its difficult to get her to do it. She is getting bigger, though. And she looks healthy, so I'm happy about that.

*BumP to see if anyone new is going*
BTW 17, I am glad she is getting bigger but sorry to hear she is having feeding problems still. Maybe it is just something she needs to outgrow. Mine was a lil piggy ever since the first feeding, she gulped down half of that hospital bottle the first time I held her. Little did we know she was allergic so a lil later we were in for hell but

Yeah, they're probably putting in a feeding tube. She's having some tests next week to see if she needs to have surgery for acid reflux as well. She turned 6 months this week, and just hit 10 1/2 pounds.

Yeah we are going there next Sunday for that sides christmas, so I will know then :crosses fingers: If not, I will try my luck at the game. Someone told me they will have something set up outside the game for the fans so I am planning on trying to get in after halftime at least. Maybe even when the game is over I will go in just to take pictures when we WIN! I am just happy to be going really. I read that a lot of OSU fans are pissed b/c they were only given 1,500 for the students, so I know I won't be alone.

Yeah, it's all about selling tickets and making money. Doesn't surprise me that only 1,500 were set aside for students. I know our seats aren't the greatest, but I'll sit on the roof and watch. I can't wait! Here's a 3D stadium chart. Looks good. I'm not exactly sure where we are, but I guess the itinerary say Upper Reserve Endzone. Or Upper Corner Reserve Endzone. Looks like there is only 1 side of endzone seating because of the field, but I also hear they add close to 10,000 more seats for this game at the other endzone side. Not sure how they do that. https://www.seats3d.com/nfl/arizona_cardinals/

Wow that place looks nice, I forget, it's closed right?
I think maybe what they will do is after they wheel in the field they will put up some temporary seating in that big open area. I am wondering too, since this is a pro stadium hosting a college event, will beer be served?

Oh beer better be served! I don't care if it's $10 a pop.
It's got a retractable roof, and when it is closed, there's some kind of venting system that makes it feel open because air can get through the roof.

Delta Adds Flights For Ohio State Fans Going To Title Game
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Delta Air Lines Inc. has created two nonstop flights to Phoenix to make it easier for Ohio State fans traveling to watch the Buckeyes play in college football's national championship game Jan. 8.
Delta, the biggest carrier at Port Columbus International Airport in terms of flights and No. 2 in passenger volume, doesn't usually fly nonstop between the two cities.
"We're thrilled to support the overwhelming request from our customers for convenient nonstop service to the BCS championship game," said Bob Cortelyou, Delta's vice president of network planning.
Both flights leave Jan. 6 and return Jan. 9. Coach fares have been running about $1,000 per ticket before taxes and fees.
Southwest Airlines Inc. also has added nonstop flights on those dates, but many seats already have been sold.
No. 1 Ohio State (12-0), which takes on No. 2 Florida (12-1) in the title game, is seeking its second national championship in the last five years.

Nice!
The one thing I didn't like about the deal we got was flying out of Columbus. It's a much longer drive than Cleveland, and they want to leave after I get out of work Friday night. The trip was expensive, not sure if there was a better deal out there, but all I had to pay for was my ticket. So I guess I shouldn't complain.

$1000 is pretty damn steep before taxes and fee's, but it's cool they are offering it though. For whatever reason both Columbus and Akron airports were more expensive than CLE. I don't quite understand that one. I even got all window seats on my flights to and from I am pumped about that hehe.

I even got all window seats on my flights to and from I am pumped about that hehe. Windows are usually the last to fill. Aisle seats offer more shoulder and leg room...and you get your bag of peanuts and dinky bottle of water sooner.

I like to look down and watch the landscape change so I never fly unless I get the window .
17, I am not sure yet. I was thinking about bringing around $200 cash and maybe another $300-$400 in travelers checks. I am thinking about maybe renting a car if it's going to cost a lot to shuttle me from Tempe to Glandale in a cab. I heard they may have shuttle busses set up but I am not sure how true that is. Outside of the game I wanna check out the casino and the Hard Rock (I collect the glasses) and then food and beer money.
