Headed down to the stadium in a few minutes. Can't wait to check it out.

I'll be tweeting my thoughts and I'll give you a full report when I get back, I'm excited.

I do look forward to the report. I anxiously await news that BQ is no longer being hammered by DA in the quarterback derby.

Lil' Team Breakdown...

Today's scrimmage tests entire organization: Browns Insider
by Mary Kary Cabot, The Plain Dealer
Sunday August 09, 2009, 4:20 AM

It's the Browns vs. the Whites this afternoon at Cleveland Browns Stadium and coach Eric Mangini can't wait to see how his team is coming together.

"I think it will be good for us, as players and coaches, and I think it will be good for us organizationally, because there are a lot of new people in different spots and there are a lot of kinks that need to be worked out," he said Saturday. "I'm sure quite a few of them will show up here tomorrow afternoon."

He said he's most looking forward to the overall operation of the team during the Family Day intrasquad scrimmage and how it will function in game-like conditions --from the coaches down to the public relations staff.

"There's a lot of moving parts that aren't familiar with game-day procedure," he said. "[Also] the environment, I'm looking forward to a lot of Browns fans being out there. I said this before, you can't appreciate the passion until you feel the passion."

Mangini provided a sneak preview of the Brown and White teams during Saturday's practice, unless "trades" are approved by "commissioner" Mangini before the 1 p.m. kickoff. Derek Anderson was playing for the Brown squad, behind the line of Joe Thomas, Eric Steinbach, Alex Mack, Floyd Womack and John St. Clair. His team included Braylon Edwards, Jamal Lewis, Mohamed Massaquoi and Mike Furrey.

Quinn was playing for the white team behind a line that included center Hank Fraley and right tackle Ryan Tucker. Brian Robiskie, Josh Cribbs, Steve Heiden and Jerome Harrison were some of his skill players. On defense, the white team featured Abe Elam, Shaun Rogers, Kamerion Wimbley, Eric Barton, D'Qwell Jackson, Brodney Pool and Eric Barton.

"It's definitely special," said Massaquoi of the scrimmage. "We had a chance to walk around the stadium and it's a beautiful stadium. We know the fans come and pack it every week and we just want to go out there and put on a show for them."

Said tight end Martin Rucker, also on the white team: "My goal is to start this season and I just want to show my ability. I want to show every aspect of my ability to the best that I can."

Mangini said the coordinators, Brian Daboll and Rob Ryan, will be split up and work with different teams. Assistants Carl Smith and Brad Seeley will be the head coaches. The scrimmage, which starts at 1 p.m., is free and open to the public. Gates open at 11 a.m. with family festivities beginning at 10:30 a.m. outside the stadium.

very interesting that Quinn is going with the 2nd team while anderson goes with the big boys. Maybe Mangini is falling in love with that Anderson arm.

I thought the same thing. Then I thought, "Maybe Mangini thinks Quinn can do more with less." And now I don't know what to think!

Reads like DA has the starting Offense...BE, JoeT, ES n rest of the OL with Jamal. White team looks like they got the edge of the Defensive Starters.

Curious how this all went down. or Up pending how you wish to look at it.

Of course the pessimists will find fault as each success will have a negative...lol and the positives will find only praise

Can't wait for a REAL GAME!!!

Looks to me like it's the 1st sting O vs the 1st string D and 2nd O vs. 2nd D mostly. Should be interesting to watch.

I would have liked to go, but I already had tickets to the HOF game tonight.

Since Mangini won't let it be aired this time, I'll have to rely on you for the scoop.

I think that both still have a ton to prove to Mangini. I don't really favor one over the other, whoever starts will have my full support

From what I read, I thought that the 2 "head coaches" had a draft of the players on the roster.

Given that 1 is an offensive guy, and the other defensive, it makes sense that each unit would reflect those leanings.

The only one who would carry it would be their flagship station WTAM and I've been streaming that since mid-morning since they were talking Browns, but at game time the programing changed and they've been talking Indians.

In all actuality there are probably no radio, and for sure no TV, announcers. It's just a scrimmage and they wanted the stadium as full as possible for the free admission event.

Following Ammo, the OBR, and others on Twitter. Summary: Quinn hit Leggett on a 51-yd bomb for a TD on his first offensive play. DA got picked by DQ. Backup QBs are in now as they near halftime. Lots of Josh Cribbs. Shotgun formations and lots of passing.

DA sacked by Rogers and then DA threw the ball at Rogers for unsportsmanlike penalty to the 7

Was the TD by Quinn a 51 yard throw, or a 10 yard throw, and Leggett went the distance?

Says Leggette beat Hood and Sorenson on the play but I don't know if it was on the YAC or on the route. Anyway, Herron scored and Patten scored. DA scampered for a 6-yd TD run. 14-14 in the 4th. Quinn is basically playing with second team Offense.

Yeah, I'm following on the OBR's twitter site. Said DA tied it up with a 6 yard scramble. I'm sure that was pretty.

Sure appears that both Quinn and Anderson are playing about equal... neither seems to be outshining the other. Other than what appears to be bit of temper issue for DA that is.....

No doubt. Coaches can't like DAs behavior. And the LAST person I'd wanna throw the ball at is Shaun Rogers. Seriously, DA can't be winning points with crap like that.
