I'm posting this in case there's one that I haven't had but also because I have a new favorite!

Koshihikari Echigo Beer, also known as Echigo (pronounced E-Chee-Go). It's a premium import from Japan that finally made it's way to Hawaii. I have previously been involved in the industry and I have to say this is a high quality product. It's probably not in Cleveland now but you should ask your local retailer to carry it. Very clean, crisp refined flavor.

It's fantastic with sushi. Makes Sapporo (which is usually what I drink if I don't drink sake), Asahi and Kirin Ichiban seem awful.

So there ya go.

Stella Artois. - Especially when it's served in their own fancy glass - the one that looks like a cross between a wine glass and a beer mug, with the little gold ring around the rim. Nothing better after a long day of work outside. It's not too heavy, not too light, kinda strong, and very, very, filling. I love it.

When Stella isn't available, gimme a Heineken or a Beck's.

Duvel

To commemorate the end of World War I, the Moortgats named their main beer Victory Ale. But during the 1920s, an avid drinker described the beer as "nen echten duvel" (a real devil in Brabantian) - perhaps in reference to its formidable alcohol content (8.5% ABV) - and the name of the beer was changed to Duvel. It has become the brewery's flagship beer. Considered by many the definitive version of the Belgian Strong Golden Ale style, Duvel is brewed with Pilsner malt and white sugar, and hopped with Saaz hops and Styrian Goldings, the yeast still stems from the original culture of Scottish yeast bought by Albert Moortgat during a prospection-tour in the U.K. just after WWI.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm! Four of those will get you where you want to be.

My favorate beer ever is the Red Stripe one gets in the Carabeane, The ones shipped to the states has a strong after taste, the ones down south, are cold & smooth with great taste,

I might have to head down to the Caymens for a couple red stripes.

National (sort of): Fat Tire. I did find it once this summer in Huron (can't remember where though) but otherwise I've only seen it on the West Coast (out of Colorado).

Local: Montana has a LOT of great microbrews. Before the sell out, we produced 80% of Bud's wheat. Not sure if that is still the case anymore. But that means it is hard to find a fresher beer anywhere. My favorites come from Big Sky Brewing Company out of Missoula. They also distribute to a lot of western states.

I had a really good beer last week from a place called Hopping Frog Brewery in Akron . Nice wheat beer . I usually drink diet beer like Bud, Miller or Coors lite when I am going to have more than 2 or 3 .

But for beer - Killian's Irish Red or Great Lake Christmas Ale.

Since everyone is mentioning root beers....I have found that Microbrews usually have really good root beers as well as long as they actually make it too.

My favorite is Peroni.

Second favorite is Birra Moretti.

I prefer the hard liquors personally as opposed to general "Beer" but if I drink beer I prefer either Peroni or Birra Moretti.

Beat me to it.

I like gassy american beer, particularly Rolling Rock and Bud. When I say gassy, I mean carbonated. I have a quick story about gassy beer.....

A VCA auditor from England was in our plant for an ISO certification audit. We got talkin about beer and he stated the he didn't care much for our beers because they were "gassy". Naturally I immediately thought of a fart related wisecrack, but I thought twice and didn't say anything. Not saying too much is a practical approach when you are the auditee and I'm glad I kept quite. Someone eventually asked what he meant by gassy and he said he was speaking to it's carbonation level.

I hate when they tell you it isn't a real beer cocktail unless you put an orange in it,...it's already too sweet a beer as it is. Not bad, but I rarely order it.

I'd say either Bell's Two hearted Pale Ale or Guinness for me.

Well, no one is telling you that you have to drink it, so shut your trap.

I have an absolutely ridiculous sweet tooth, so that's why I like it.

There's a few Blue Moon knock-offs out there that vary in terms of sweetness.

I'm a fan of the genre, but only in small doses.

I'm a rum man...my favorite beer is generally the one someone hands me.

I like rum, but it is not very enjoyable on the rocks, and that's how I drink most distilled beverages.

I've really gotten into trying different beers over the last year or so. Beer samplers are your friends.

No matter how much I try I can't find a beer that I like better than Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and I've tried a bunch. For me, it's a dinner beer or a right before bed beer ... as I can only drink one or two at a time. It's heavy, but it has the best aftertaste out there. Stick it in the freezer about 20 minutes before consumption along with a nice beer glass ... heaven.

My second favorite beer would be another domestic ... Sam Adams Boston Lager ... although I find the consistency to be lacking ... possibly a coastal thing? But no other lager can come close to that, IMO.

Some honorable mentions: Leine's Classic Amber (they finally got a beer right, although their 1888 Bock isn't bad either), Sierra Nevada Summerfest ... best summer brew I've had in a long time, Guiness, and New Castle. If I'm going to make a day of it at a cookout or whatnot ... I say this with a little embarrassment, but damn Bud Light Lime is not bad.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...
