Hey all,

We're trying to put [something for sale] up online. I checked out Amazon, but the commission was pretty exhorbitant. I heard ebay is pretty similar and Craigslist is okay.

Before I move forward though, I wondered if any of you had any experience doing this kind of stuff and which online selling sites you prefer.

Refs, if this is considered to be site pimping, then please delete.

Thanks!

Naming the item for sale is like trying to sell it on here which makes this thread a violation. Asking which self-sell sites people like is alright

About a week ago i ran my old cell phone on ebay.... it never sold, i was never charged a fee because it was a free listing... i put it on Craigslist the other day and i had cash in my hand after about an hour of listing it.

Personally i prefer Craigslist because it's free and you meet face to face with the buyer to exchange cash. never except checks cash only!!

I've sold everything I've listed on Craigslist within a day - make sure the price is reasonable and it will sell. It's all I use anymore.

Craigslist works very well, but as others said, only deal in cash in hand. And Iarge bills, I would recommend a counterfeit bill marker, if it's a large purchase and you could be paid in $20+ bills.

Sounds like Craigslist is the way to go. Hopefully I don't sell to a serial killer.
