If "Leon" comes out and produces next year--and the Browns turn it around. A lot of posters on here are going to lose a lot of credibility.

in my opinion...
yes.
i think this team needs an upgrade at quarterback... i know we have problems on our line, but there were times last year where the line did a good enough job to protect the quarterback and give him time, and neither charlie frye nor derek anderson could make a throw...
i don't believe in the whole "managing the game" label that gets slapped on certain quarterbacks, i just think that there are quarterbacks who don't get the benefit of the whole playbook, and therefore, won't make the kinds of throws you see the bradys or the favres make... it's not really "managing the game", because in the end, if you aren't winning, you will have to make plays...
we don't have a quarterback...
as far as romeo goes.. it may appear that he's on the hot seat, but i think the browns are smart enough not to have an ultimatum on him, as far as "make the playoffs or you're fired", but on the flip side, we do need to see improvements from this year, and that means contending for a playoff spot... 7-8 wins and i think romeo saves his job...
i still stand by my thought of him stepping down and handling defensive coordinator duties... i can't see him coaching anywhere else if things don't work out here... he seems like the kind of guy who knows where his bread is buttered and won't just go after the money...
it would be an awesome thing if one day there was a different head coach, but he was still handling the defense...

You're kidding me, right? I am defending RAC, you freaking rock head. Jesus. Did you even try and contemplate anything I wrote? You took almost EVERYTHING I said out of context.

Who gives out credibility? You?
Leon might turn it around, but that doesn't change what he has done up to now. You know........telling coaches and vets like Joe to [censored] off when they are trying to help him run the correct route has a way of pissing people off and causes him to lose credibility w/his teammates.
Btw DawgFace.......I came up w/the nickname of Leon during TC of his rookie year. I should probably take it back before next year...you know...before I lose credibility.

I think the point is generally accepted that the Browns coaching staff has had to make due with lesser talent. While it is true that you can only do so much with the available talent, the coaching staff and front office set the direction for talent and player selection.
Policy / Clark were not effective in bringing players to Cleveland. Palmer was gone.
Davis / Garcia were even worse.. Davis had the unique honor of being in control of both personel selection and coaching, so this in hindsight was a miserable selection.
Savage and RAC are tied together. While the conspiracy thoriests have Savage plotting RAC's departure the simple fact is Savage will be on a shorter leash if RAC does depart. No it won't be as bad as Davis leaving, but it would take time to change direction again.
Would a new QB save RAC, the short answer is no. Wins will save RAC. If it takes a QB to get more wins, then get the QB. But that goes for every position on the team. Wins will be the measure of sucess. They always are.
RAC and PS have a shorter leash because of the digression this season. We can point to the obvious, but the truth is that they need to show progress next year, because a repeat of this season will probably cost both of them their jobs.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!

Uhmmm......so, why didn't you say so? Can't you see the momentum moving towards the majority taking liberties on reasons to fire RAC? We argue enough, there are times we can agree, you know.
