After months of anticipation, this game does not disappoint. Easily the best comic book game since Marvel Ultimate Alliance, if not all time.

This isn't your typical beat em up batman game. Sure, there are plenty of moments where you have to beat the snot out of a handful of goons with your bare hands...but the game is so much more than that.

The plot is typical dark knight. Joker gets himself captures by "bats", who escorts him to Arkham. With the help of Harley Quinn, the trap is sprung and Batman finds himself in the longest night of his life...fighting his way OUT of Arkham. With several cameos, this game is top notch. The graphics, the voiceovers, done by the crew who did the 90's cartoon (yes folks, that's Mark Hamill's Joker). With all that, you'd forget that Batman is also, the world's greatest detective, which you'll have to be in order to progress through the game, as well as nab some unlockables.

This is the game that comic book fans have been waiting for. 4.5/5

Downside...there is some repetition to it. Some of the fight animations are too slow to keep up with the pace of the fight. That's about it

Go out and get it if you have the means.

I played the demo, was quite good. I wanted to play more for sure. If felt like one of those stealthy 3rd person games (Metal Gear Solid) but you're playing as Batman.

The was brutal.....no where near as bad as the Wolverine game....but it was badass.

I'm a big Batman fan, but I don't wear the shirts LOL - seems to queer to me. I was a bit astonished that a game was not released around the time The Dark Knight was theatrically released. However, after seeing the movie, I knew it was going to be hard to create a game around that movie.

IGN gave Arkham Asylum around a 9 in the overall ratings. Is it really that good? Does it have multiplayer? I have been trying to rent it at Blockbuster but all of the PS3 copies have been gone every time I go there.

No multi-player...you know Batman was always kind of a loner. Robin is not even in the game or even mentioned...neither is Nightwing, so...

But to answer your question, yes it is that good. By the end of the game, Batman has gone through hell, and he looks it...he even grows a 5 o'clock shadow!!

Freind let me borrow it becasue he already beat it. It is a very good game.

BTW I just read on another forum about how Edios put in a special code for hackers.

When the game is cracked it replaces the code of Batman gliding with another animation where Batman flaps his arms like he has real wings and ends up going straight down. This is a problem because one of the first things you need to do is jump from a rafter and glide to a platform above a gas filled room. Well apparently you don't glide and will die every time.

A hacker logged onto Edios's forum to complain about a "glitch" in his copy and they told him he downloaded the game and there was no issue with the game code just his moral code.
