According to Blount, one fan brandished a chair at him and another punched him.

Ok but keep in mind this was AFTER he decked a Boise State player

And I don't really care what the Boise State player said to him... the Oregon kid started this with trashing talking well before the game, if he wasn't able to back it up on the field, then he just needed to shut up and take it after the game. The Boise State player may well have acted in a very unsportsmanlike manner, but that is NO EXCUSE to sucker punch him.

And there is no doubt it was a sucker punch, when you watch the tape you see Blount walk up to him and hesitate a second until he knows the Idaho player is not paying any attention to him and then he throws the punch at him.

You look at the video... the RB was walking with his head down, probably thinking he should have kept his mouth shut and "oh damn, the season is over", lol... when this dude from Boise State comes over - hits him on the shouler to get his attention then says something.

While I can't say nothing at all would have happened at any point after that game last night, I'm pretty confident this particular incident wouldn't have happened had the BSU player not started it.

The RB lost his cool - clearly - and the suspension given is pretty reasonable IMO... but if that dude from BSU gets off scott free in this then that's wrong. HE is the one that made contact first - HE should be punished somehow as well.

ESPN just showed the replay -- this Boise State puke is gonna get off without incident,...this is as wrong as what Blount did (inexcusable,...period.)

Not sure when this change happened in our society but there used to be a time when a guy ran his mouth and the other guy rightly punched him in the face.

A lot fewer people ran their mouths back then.

Blount was just upset that his game couldn't back up his mouth and someone called him out on it. And if you're gonna sucker punch someone like that, make sure he doesn't get back up. Dude's scum. Football is better off with him done for the year.

"Someone" also used physical force (shoulder pad smash) to get his point across when the scoreboard alone had already said enough. I'm not on Blount's side here, but the Boise State puke should also be penalized for poor sportsmanship.

if he threw the punch then walked away when his teammates and coaches stepped in....he gets a couple games and is back for the Pac10 schedule.

it's the craziness of pushing/hitting of teammates/coaches/security members....trying to get into the crowd to pull an Artest.....

he's lucky he hasn't been thrown off the team yet...

At least now he can spend his Saturdays going online and watching videos of himself losing tens of thousands of dollars from the NFL career he now will probably not have.

if you watch the replay, you can see the bsu coach running towards that guy, the coach knew he was instigating, he even ran over to prevent something from happening.

i dont like how this whole situation went down, very unfortunate.

College football weekend is back!!! It's been way to damn long!

My upset pick of the week is Washington over LSU. Long distance for LSU to travel and Washington's D should be pretty good with Jake Locker at QB.

You have to go back to 2001 before you find that Navy (35th) has been no lower than 3rd in the Nation in rushing (twice) and every other year was # 1.

Not real impressed with what i see from the Buckeyes so far in the 1st qt. 7-7. Neither team has stopped the other and Navy just ran it right thru the Bucks.

We look stupid trying to stop the option right now!

That touchdown should not have happened. A option going outside that we have in the back field and we have two people take the QB and no one take the HB? We need to clean this up, or this will be a long game.

The thing is it's looks like were playing soft....You don't want to give Navy anything to hang there hats on,,,this version of the Buckeyes just does not impress me right now. Wow and Navy fumbles as i write this...What you have to do is force Navy to throw.

I know it's against Navy's defense, but Pryor has looked pretty good throwing the ball so far.

10-13 127 yards 1 td

Yes Pryor has looked good , but the team as a whole has not impressed...Let's see if next week they play with a sence of ergency, because if they don't it will be a very long game.

Ouch....85 yard TD to make it a one position game. OSU better get some points or run the clock out.....Navy will win in OT.

I'm giving Navy some credit for being a decent program, rather than hammering Ohio State.

It is what it is, and now ESPN is trashing the Buckeyes.

Who cares ? 12-0 is 12-0.

Why in the world didn't he kick the field goal in the first place? - I knew when Navy stopped us on 4th down that there was a great chance of Navy winning this game. - Had Navy ran their option for the two point conversion, they tie and eventually win this game.

Dear Lord, please, please, don't let USC beat us by more than 28 points next week. I know, I know, they are going to beat us, but, please God, limit USC's margin of victory to 17 points, just so we can save face. Thank you.

I'm gonna watch the team that will slaughter us next week.

My only question is which of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse rushes for 100 yards on OSU first.

Buckeyes =

No push in the run game and no protection from the line in the passing game.

Anderson Russell is a complete liablity in the passing game.

Didn't take Navy seriously, even during the game. = Coaching

Questionnable coaching calls the entire game by Tressell starting with bringing in the backup qb before the half only up 20-7, thus completely killing your offense's momentum.

Big Ten and Midwest football is dead. Unless OSU wins next week, the rest of the Big 10 can't be taken seriously until they consistently compete agains the better leagues. I would put the ACC and Big East in front of the Big 10 right now.
