My highest is 31. To get anything more than a 20 you have to fully "in the zone".

When I was in the 20's on that streak, I caught a few breaks, I remember I shoulda been dead by my teammates airstrike saved my ass in the knick of time. I died on a ridiculous grenade that was thrown across the map.

Killstreaks are all pretty random.

Considering all of the new perks, attachments, weapons, and more ways you can strategize with your team - it will be hard for the casual gamer to get killstreaks over 12 in MW2. There are just eight more days until the midnight release and I am psyched. I'm more interested in this game than the damn Browns, and that's a shame!

To add to your post, I absolutely hate grenade lobbing. I have been killed by so many grenades that are lobbed across the map or take a bounce or two just right.

All the perks in all three slots have been revealed, including the levels of rank when they can become available to players. In addition, weapons and their availability are revealed as well. As usual, attachments become available after completing respective weapon challenges. The availability of equipment is dependant on levels of rank.

Just thought I'd put the official launch trailer link up here just in case anyone hasn't seen it yet. I must say, WOW this game looks amazing, nice soundtrack in the video as well.

Preordered it today. Gamestop is opening at 8pm Monday night in anticipation for the opening. The guy working there told me they've had 500 pre-orders so far. I'm not sure how that compares to other games, but wow.

So excited.

500 pre-orders is a hell of a lot for one game; especially at one store. However, It helps that it's coming out on 3 platforms at the same time (ps3, xbox, pc). I pre-ordered a Hardened Edition from Gamestop here in Central Florida. I do not need the NVGs; they will just get me in trouble. I overheard a salesman at Blockbuster in my town saying they had 60 pre-orders for that game on the PS3 alone. This is going to be the best selling game of all time. I hope it's worth it and I hope my friend did some kick ass character animations for the game.

does anyone wanna buy a copy of bioshock for 360?

my girlfriend wanted to switch to ps3, so we picked it up, and gamestop offered 6 bucks for a mint copy of bioshock, no thanks, cheapskates.

it's a great game with a ton of replay value, someone make me an offer on pm if interested.

i talked to a best buy employee today and he told me they should have plenty tomorrow but he said if you're worried about getting shut out, just call the store at 10am and buy it over the phone, you then have a week to pick it up.

i'm just gonna do that although im tempted to pick it up at midnight only because im playing hockey and will be showered and out of the rink at 1145

I'd preorder it, that way if you decide to swoop by and pick it up you can, and if not, you can get it tomorrow or something.

Depending on game mode....I achieved quite a few 40+ kill streaks...I'm a clan nerd so that could have been a result of playing with some of the people I played with as well.

Two of the guys I played with quite a bit were rated in the top 150 for quite awhile. We usually just played non-stop hardcore search & destroy though...that's more my style.

Yeah that deal is kick ass, I did exactly what you did on Saturday, so I should have it tomorrow too.

You order it on a Saturday and get it on Tuesday for 6 bucks, now THAT is what I call service, excellent!!!!

this this thread started over a month before the game was released, with over 60 responses, and now that the game is been out for more than a day, no one is commenting on it?

hahahhahaa

i'm on the second mission, thought the first mission was incredibly intense.

the only downer about this game that i am reading about is that the single player campaign is too short, but again, i thought modern warfare 1 was short, but still exceptionally good.

haven't tried spec ops or online but i heard from some of my buddies that they're both really good.

Graphics are amazing. I played about half the campaign mode and the different maps really pop out. They paid a lot of attention to the little things this time around.

Game of the year lock IMO.

A kid at school says they get unlocked after you beat the missions. It's under special ops, but it's not called zombies anymore, I don't think.

Yeah, and I know people always say, "oh this might be the best game I've ever played" alot but this really might be it.

Other times I've said that were because of Goldeneye, Zelda Orcarina of time(N64).

I really love how some things were upgraded, like the feel of the recoil when you fire different guns is amazing! Some have different recoils and feel more powerful.

I've been in both.

When the nuke countdown expires, the bomb goes off, screen gets really bright from the blast flash and then the map ends. Who ever is winning at the time, still wins. It happened in one of the first games I played in multiplayer.

When the EMP goes off, it hasn't really affected me. I'm usually using a red dot sight or the iron sights on a gun. The screen gets a little fuzzy and your HUD obviously goes out. I'm not sure if it would impact the thermal scope, I would imagine so.

HMMM Interesting. I thought the team that used the nuke would get an automatic win even if they were losing by 4000 pts per se. The EMP reward sounds a bit like "been there, done that." I enjoy the Harrier, Chopper Gunner, Pave Low, and I always do the care package.

I almost never use the care package. I have it a UAV, drone and harrier. The precision air strike is meh. It's basically a regular air strike, only you can set the direction the air strike comes in from, so it does have it's uses if you're trying to hit down an alley or something.

I will not unlock some of the killstreak rewards due to them being extremely ineffective. You said it Big, the precision airstrike is meh. I have seen a normal attack helicopter do nothing more than a few times. The stealth bomber perk is better used for sabotage, HQ, Demolition, and Flag.
