it's pretty much the only redeeming quality of that game.
the campaign mode is repetitive and the storyline hard to follow, the online is ok, although it is horrible when stacked up against modern warfare 1 (i have no judgement on mw2 because i have not played online yet)
but the nazi zombies makes the whole thing worth it.
what is everyone's high on nazi zombies? i think i got up to 17, a couple of my buddies actually got to level 25, insane. is there even an end to the game or is it just endless waves?

There is no end on Zombies that I am aware of.
On Map 1 my brother and I got to level 33.
On Map 3 my brother and I got to level 24.
On map 4 my brother, brother-inlaw, freind and I got to level 31.
Only played map 2 a handfull of times.

just kind of mindless (lol) fun. it's better playing online and u can definitely last longer.
just finished the campaign mode last night, a little disappointed. it was definitely too short, and i thought modern warfare 1 had a slightly better storyline. still an incredible game though. got a bit into spec ops and i will probably hit up the online this weekend.

HMMM Interesting. I thought the team that used the nuke would get an automatic win even if they were losing by 4000 pts per se. The EMP reward sounds a bit like "been there, done that." I enjoy the Harrier, Chopper Gunner, Pave Low, and I always do the care package.
I was wrong. According to the CoD Wiki, which ever team sets off the nuke, gets the automatic win.
Anyone have a favorite callsign and emblem yet? I've been running with the Heart Breaker callsign with the emblem you get from the riot shield challenges.
My K:D ratio is finally picking up now that I'm getting used to the maps, but my W/L's are all out of whack. Also only need about 60 more headshots to wrap up all the M4 challenges.

I've got the "Shot Down" callsign with the Iwo Jima emblem. Looks pretty cool if you ask me. If anyone has this game on the 360, my gamertag is holden147 I'm usually down for Team Deathmatch or whatever so send me a invite.

i finished the whole campagin mode in 1 night lol...played for like 5-6hrs straight...it was kind of short...but i guess the had to make it short cuz it was so freaking amazing that if they made it longer they might have not had time to pay attention to so much detail.
I played multiplayer online..(haven't played FPS online in years..maybe 6 years or so lol) so yes..i sucked bad..
Started special ops...stuck on the first one...can't get past the defending one.

My MW2 review
1) Single Player- 6/10 Made absolutely no sense and was short. Some cool set pieces but overall fairly disappointing
2) Special Ops- 8/10 Fun distraction and good to play with friends. However, most of it is retread from the single player game. I always like games that make Co-Op content different than Single player content
3) Multiplayer- 10/10 Best FPS multiplayer on the market. Great balance and is simply amazing.
Overall 9/10 If you don't plan on playing online multiplayer don't buy this game as you will not get your money's worth. This game is a multiplayer game at its finest. Single player and Special Ops is worth a rent but only buy this game if you plan on doing multiplayer.
Go Browns!!

the maps are great too. haven't seen them all but the ones i have played in were outstanding. can't wait until they release more.
but yeah, minus points for zombies being taken out, it would have made this game a near perfect 10 despite the shortness of campaign.

There was never a zombie mode in MW2 to begin with. That was just all rumor started by the fanboys of WAW.

i actually read a few articles from published sources that talked about it.
and we all know they weren't in mw1, but world at war is still infinity ward...
would have been a great addition, i think that's what people are saying.

Actually Treyarch did WAW, and I like them - they listen to the PC gaming community unlike Infinity Ward.

Why MW2 has more community asked for features, no? If your a PC gamer, then I'll take your opinion with a grain of salt for obvious reasons that PC gamers hate IW now.

Vice versa as well, of course you guys are going to like it because it's taylor made for the console.
No dedi's, no lean, no mods, no record, matchmaking with host migration, no kick in public matches, no filter list so›you can pick maps etc. vac instead of punkbuster, sorry I have a problem with an anti cheat that takes 2 weeks to ban a detected cheater.

Wow this was short. It was very good but it seemed like I just got started then the credits started rolling. Also, is it just me or did it seem like you were just along for the ride at times. I have to say I was pretty disappointed with campaign mode for the most part.
Now the online is great. I can't put it down. Of course I'm getting killed more than I'm killing but it's still great.

This is what I was wondering about, I used to be pretty good at games like Quake and such but I would just get raped in Halo 3 which took some of the fun out of it for me. Of course I was a pretty late comer on Halo. I might just get Borderlands instead.

the online for the modern warfare just takes a little bit of getting used to. familiarity with the maps, and also building your guy up a little bit (i only really need to get a red dot sight for my guns, and i'm good) that is one of the first things u can upgrade your guns with.
spec ops is eating me alive though, so tough.

there actually is a zombie equivalent in mw2, if you beat the game, and go back to the level select they have a museum level where you constantly have all the different characters coming at you. you get your choice of weapons in the cases, you press a button to make the museum characters come alive and can upgrade between waves. kinda fun although nazi zombies is still better.
after playing online more over this weekend, i really love this game, i hate paying 60 bucks for a game, but this one is well worth it. the online is surprisingly smooth.

How do you do the muesum?
I was just going around gunning them down in their little exhibits and gave up and thought it was pointless.

press the button and bolt out of the room, and just start capping guys, use grenades and everything. when u beat the wave u can go to the cases, pick out new guns or just refill ammo.
i watched a kid on youtube get a few rounds in and they start sending those juggernauts at you.

Huge +1 to getting to know the maps. I think having an intimate knowledge with each map is the single most important part of multiplayer. Many of them (e.g Karachi, Favela) have so many weird, obscure hiding places, turns, jumps, and entry points. Since killing in this game is so easy (2-3 shots from an assault rifle with stopping power, 3-4 without), it's mostly about getting the first shot off. You do that largely by having superior positioning and using cover. This is a game where if you just run around by yourself you are going to do very poorly.
What does everyone like for classes? I find most of my successful ones end up being pretty basic-- something like assault rifle, scavenger pro, stopping power pro, semtex or claymores, and most of the rest is just personal preference. Sometimes I'll use an explosives class with SCAR+M203, Thumper (secondary grenade launcher), Scavenger, and danger close. And I always have a cold-blooded + stinger class for shooting down enemy kill streaks.

semtex stuck on the back of an unsuspecting opponent is just great. i've gotten one already.
i think the big thing with these maps is the fact that there seems to be more going up higher. and that always gives you an advantage over those on the ground level.

I just finished up Spec Ops last night with a buddy. If you need someone to play with let me know. I'm FamedSmurf on XBL. I am about 30 minutes away from 1000/1000

yeah, i mean you're pretty much close to the end the minute you start the game, that's the only disappointing part to the game.

Nah. My buddy said the same thing. "I'll never get under like 40 seconds." The trick was to use two hand guns (USP + M9(i think) not the DE). Also, anytime you can get a through and through you better your chances. My fastest time was 28 something and I had 109% accuracy. With 109% accuracy, it subtracted 4-5 seconds from my final time.

I used the default machine gun and picked up another machine gun. One held like 300 rounds and the other 600. Use the one with 600 rounds first, when you run out of bullets towards the end switch to the 300 and you should be able to make it through without having to reload. I got the 3 stars on it and am currently working my way through Delta but that multiplayer is so addicting(level 66) that it takes away a lot of my Special Ops time.

No gun holds up to 600 rounds.

Very easy, just setup a class with marathon/lightweight/commando, set SMG or sniper as primary for full speed, run around throwing stuns around corners and knifing people.
Use handgun + tactical knife attachment as secondary if you have that unlocked.

you have to be stunned/flashed by someone else. just found that out, i did that to a bunch of people and got nothing.
i'm also trying the semtex challenge where u have to stick them on people, i have 3 so far.

I prestiged a couple weeks ago for the first time, probably will be the only time I do that, but I'm also having fun trying to unlock the titles and doing the challenges. I forgot how hard life was without cold blooded and sniping on Wasteland without Ninja/Cold Blooded, forget it... lol.
I was using the title, Heartbreaker for a while, now I'm running with My Lil Pwny.
Has anyone been "Infected" yet? I got that one last week, figured out how it works. Someone with that title has to kill you with a knife and you get it. Pretty cool.

Now I'm hooked. I use to play only football, and now she's threatning to hide the game. lmao.

Do the titles contribute at all to your game? Do various titles have various perks or anything? Or are they just titles?
