Yeah domination B is tough to get on Quarry. It's especially tough on more linear maps, where A and C flags are by the teams' respective spawns, and B is basically in the middle with lots of places to attack from. On maps like that (like Quarry) it's so much easier to hold than it is to capture.
At the start of the game, most players are greedy and want to get the +150 capturing A and C with the rest of the team. Instead just rush B and either try to cap the flag, or at least prevent the other team from capping it. You could use a UMP silenced/marathon/lightweight with smoke and blast shield to capture for example.
To hold it or prevent it from being captured there are a lot of things you can do, from semtex/C4 from the little room above, skill cannons, FMJ spam, etc.
Really though in domination it's good if your team helps out i.e. even a moderately well coordinated team will beat a team full of randoms just about every time.

I've been playing a lot of demolition lately and I hate the maps that are hard to plant on offense. Afghan, Estate, and Quarry are actually all really good examples. On estate for example, the house is almost impossible to plant when playing with randoms. The defending team just spawns so much closer to the house and therefore will almost always have control of it, and it's very difficult to plant without control of the house.
The problem isn't so much the map, but with how people play demolition. If everyone planted tactical insertions around and in the house and swarmed the bomb relentlessly and threw smoke, planting wouldn't be much of a problem. Instead everyone just kind of hangs back, uses scavenger even though they usually die on their first mag and then they spawn on the other side of the map, 30 seconds away.
The best I try to do on those maps with that type of team is to just win on defense and try not to get slaughtered on offense. The team that has the most kills gets to play defense in overtime.

So I went to see my GF in new york this weekend and didn't play for a couple days before that. I played for the first time in almost a week earlier and care package/emergency airdrop glitchers are EVERYWHERE. It's seriously shameful and ridiculous, every game has at least 1 or 2 people spamming unlimited airdrops and going cold-blooded only does so much. It seems like search and destroy and maybe FFA are the only playable game modes right now until it gets patched.

I just had to download the 1.08 patch today, not sure when it came out, because I was on a cruise all weekend. But truth be told, I ONLY play Hardcore Team Deathmatch and I've never come across a care package glitch, EAD glitch, Noob Tube/OMA glitchers. I only came across 1 person trying the javelin glitch and I sniped him from a safe distance on Run Down. Speed knifers don't stand a chance in hardcore either. The only thing I ever really went up against were the akimbo 1887's. Annoying sure, but that's what the riot shield is for.

I haven't played for a couple of days now. Have they fixed that annoying care package glitch yet? It seemed like everyone was using it.
Personally it was even annoying when someone on your team was using it. No fun winning a match if in reality you only did it because someone on your team was cheating.

I've actually never encountered it, however, based on everything I've read, it's still very much present, even after the PS3 was patched. I know the same patch has not been applied to Xbox yet, so I doubt this will even fix it.
I only play Team Deathmatch and Hard Core Team Deathmatch, so that may be why I haven't come across it. I do know that you can still do the elevelator glitch on Derail. I made it my mission to TK the guy on my team that kept doing it. He wasn't too happy about that.
I should report him to Sony. In fact, I'll do that when I get home in the morning.

There are spots in some maps where if you get into the background, it'll shoot you straight up in the air. From there, you can move around to anywhere on the map outside the edges of the map. Do a search for MW2 Elevator Glitch and you'll get video upon video.

I entered the second round of prestige the other day. Damn, does it ever suck having to build your custom multiplayer back up again. In this round, you get a new emblem, but nothing else - not even new challenges. I can't wait for the two new map packs - cmon Infinity Ward

Does anyones ps3 run very lod when playing this game? I was playing yesterday and the fan was the loudest I've ever heard it. Apparently this game can cause a "yellow lightnof death on the 60, 40 and some 80gb models?
I'm a bit concerned to play this on my 80gb. According to wiki this affects .5% of the older models.

I have an 80gb older model. It came with Motostorm. I found that playing any game for an extended period caused my machine's high fan to kick on. After some tests I came to find it wasn't the machine that was the problem. It was the machines placement. I had to modify my entertainment system some to account for the possible overheating risk. The shelf in my entertainment center that my machine sat in was a pretty tight space. I modified the shelf to be on pull out drawer slides. Now when I game, I slide my machine out on it's shelf and it is able to "breathe" better. It no longer ever runs on anything but the lowest fan setting. Even after multiple hours of play time.

Hmmm I to have the 80gb motorstorm, the ps3 gets a good amount of air. I guess I'll just keep an eye out for the fan and pray I'm not one of the .5%

Here are some details about the "Stimulus Map Pack" being released for XBOX Live on March 30 (PC and PS3 fans will have to wait a bit longer):
Bailout - a multi-level apartment complex
Storm - an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery
Salvage - a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars.
Crash - a war-torn urban environment (CoD4)
Overgrown - features a massive dry creek bed (CoD4)

I wonder if they'll get rid of the ability to jump onto the roof of the house in Overgrown. I always liked Crash though.
I guess this map pack is going to be like $15. A little pricey if you ask me. And if they're going to charge $15, they should've given us 5 brand new maps, not 3 new ones plus 2 rehashes.
I don't mind the COD4 maps at all really(except Bog and Creek), but they should do a COD4 map pack later on.

I really havent tried, but the other day I conned my girlfriend into playing in a 2 player mission (she was controlling the gun in the helicopter) and she didnt want to put the controller down, now she's hooked
apparently some of these missions you can do solo, you basically need 2 players to complete.

you can do them online. i think the only way you can is to invite a friend. its pretty fun online cause you dont have to do the split screen.

Wardriving drove me insane I get to the last house, everything going great then bam, I'm dead.
Airfield junkyard wasn't too bad, once I realized the one shotgun was great for the juggernauts, and the thermal scope rifles helped finding those hidden guys. The second half down the hill and to the tarmac was the toughest, but the rifle helped, just be sure to have about 4-5 shots available for quick fire on the juggernauts.
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.
