There must be a way to "block" seeing the posts of certain people- some negativity just gets to be a bit old after a while.

Appreciate any assistance in this, i just can't seem to stumble on a way to do this and i did not see it in the FAQ section.

Thanks.

Now that we know how to "block" a poster, can someone tell me how to tackle a poster?

Just kidding ... sort of.

I am really leaning towards blocking DERDENs posts. I can't stand that guy.

If they could, I'd rather they share their secrets with our D....

Never have seen the point to ignoring a poster. Unless you're just trying to tick the guy off, what's the point?

Just don't read his posts. Seems pretty simple to me.

I can't seem to read any of the posts on this thread.

Why would anyone go through the trouble of putting someone on ignore? You don't have to read their posts. A lot of the perceived "negativity" is actually someone just passionately disagreeing with your point of view. I know a lot of people here disagree with my view of things, but I like to see where their twisted, dysfunctional thought processes take them.

I laugh my arse off when I see someone threatening to put a poster on "ignore".

While I believe this entire board has me on "ignore" - except for one of the refs - I've never once considered doing it to another poster.

point taken
actually didn't realize that it could be such a sensitive question. I take it that if I put someone on ignore, that other person would know it? I certainly don't want to hurt someones ego.

And i've never bothered to post against this person, but the same drivel about the browns suck, the FO sucks, Mangini sucks, the draft sucked, the preseason sucked kind of gets old. There hasn't been anything optimistic- unless waiting three more years to start over counts. I've tried to ignore the posts, its just not as simple as not reading them. Others feel obliged to respond, which just seems to feed this posters fire.

Anyways, thanks all for the feedback.

It has to be you, he is sick of you dogging James Davis,ok just kidding.

In all seriousness,no offense to you Bigfoot, but I always felt is was kind of lame to block a poster. It kind of seems like someone putting their fingers in their ears and going " LA LA LA LA LA I AM NOT LISTENING!! I CANT HEAR YOU!!" If you dont like what a persons has to say then just dont reply to them.

If the person is constantly berating you I would understand.

But It's pretty weak to block someone only because you don't agree with their opinion, negative or positive.

I once blocked Mensa, just because I was tired of his posts, but then unblocked him because every time he posted, I would log out so I could read it.
