i'm in a 12-person league, and am OK with my team, except for my #1WR...
QB-Rodgers RB-Gore RB-Tomlinson WR-Santonio Holmes WR-Desean Jackson WR-Devin Hester TE-Shiancoe K-Carney DST-Bears
RB-Ryan Grant RB-Moreno WR-Justin Gage TE-Brent Celek QB-Brady Quinn (it was between him and Flacco, and my heart beat out my head)
obviously RB is a strength. this is my first time in a 3WR league, and the way the chips fell, there was NOONE left at that position after i executed my strategy for the first 3 rounds. live and learn, but i think i've got the RB's to pull off a decent trade.
question is this: do i propose a trade to secure a reliable WR now, or do i wait and hope that injury/poor performance bring someone to my door for a RB?
IF i trade now, there are only 2 teams that are desperate at RB, IMO. team#1: Addai & Lynch, team#2: jacobs & parker. both teams have a WR i would offer Ryan Grant straight up for...Welker or OchoCinco. team#1 also has Randy Moss, but is a Pats fan, so is overvaluing him (>than Gore n Tomlinson, which otherwise i would offer).
i'm leaning on making the offer for Welker, as the thing i need the most is a sure bet at WR...COC has bigger upside, but between Jackson and Hester, I feel i have that already. i need mr. reliable.
thoughts?

Is it a PPR league? If so, I would definitely do Grant for Welker...
Joe Thomas made Justin Timberlake change his name. He didn't want wusses to have the same initials...

personally, I would wait until a RB or two goes down with injuries...
if it happens to your team, then you don't want to trade anyways. if it happens to another team or teams, then you will get more return than you will now
and it will happen in the first few weeks, NFL is too violent for RBs to not get hurt.

I chose Roy over Braylon in my draft.....though either WR could be a steal or a bust this season.

I did the same thing, then after watching the preseason, and having the trade offered, I took it. BE has looked alot better than Roy, plus BE is playing for a new deal, in a potentially uncapped year.

i'm not saying it was a bad trade....i might take it myself at this point with Roy's shoulder being a concern
plus, Braylon has a much higher ceiling...he is the #1 offensive threat. if we can get on track on offense, he will produce (or if he produces we will get on track...pick your order).
Roy will always be option #3 at best (Witten, Barber....possibly Felix and Martellus in the red zone as well). their offense is just a safer bet than ours.
