Meanwhile, back at the ranch........ Twas a brisk -8 degrees this morning when I arose, with a wind chill of -19. Today is supposed to be the last day of it, with temps shooting way up into the 20's tomorrow! Snow forecast for today keeps changing with every new report that comes out. And for those tittering and guffawing about this cold weather stuff not being "newsworthy" then please tell mne why everyone is talking about it?? On here, on the news, in person.....I do believe that since the vast majority of our winter season up until this week saw temps in the 40's, 50's, and even 60's, then that DOES make it quite newsworthy, no? Global warming anyone?

If you look at the deaths caused by hypothermia,it's as newsworthy as anything effecting our day to day life. And Shep,with the back surgery,I just couldn't pull off hunting this year. But I'm making a strong comeback and will be ready to GO next season! It pretty much sucked this year though. No Browns games and no hunting. The two things I'm very passionate about. But I'll make up for it next year and we'll definately hook up for both hopefully. 
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

This might be alittle strange, but...has anybody been drawn to go outside after they see the Temp is -6 or -9 just to see how it feels, or have been going to the doors to check the temp outside more than usual, I know I have, last night we were sitting under the blankets watching tv and they said it was -6 with a wind chill of -18, anyway i had to feel how cold it was..and yep it was cold, I've heard tempurature extremes cause people to do this to see what it feels like....

There's a dead cat in my neighbors backyard. I noticed it and walked up to take a look -- from my distance, it looked like a dog. Not sure if this was a feral cat, or not, but I found it ironic with this discussion. If anyone wants a picture as proof, I'll be happy to walk my ass up there and get one for you.

Me either. I think we need the photo... and not just any photo, we need one which includes the front page of todays paper so we know she didn't just copy any old picture of a dead frozen cat off the internet.

I just went out to look again, and get my picture....but it's gone. I called Animal Control before I left to go get my new phone (see other thread). I did take a picture from my back yard earlier...I'll see how close I can get it to zoom in on the cat. And, I wasn't being morbid when I took the picture...I actually thought it was a neighbors dog and was going to use it to get their other dog taken away. In the end, I'm glad it wasn't the dog I thought it was, because it's a very sweet dog...it just gets free roam of the neighborhood. Bastards.

I once kept a fish frozen in the freezer for a very long time. I loved that fish.

Not a scarf. A dead gray and white kitty. I went up to tell the neighbors about it in case they wondered why animal control was in their yard, but they weren't home. That's when I took a closer look.
