The poll may "appear" premature, but Josh McDaniels is 2-0 with supposedly half the talent,.....

he lucked into one win and the other was playing us. make a couple roster changes on our side and he easily could've been 0-2.

"Lucked" into a win where they held a good Cincy offense scoreless for 59 minutes.

Destroyed the Browns. Beating teams you are supposed to beat.

why on Earth would Cowher, Gruden or Shanahan want to come here when we'll start polling who will be the next coach if they start 0-2?

Give him atleast two drafts...

Indeed, go look up Cam Cameron and his stint in Miami.

No, NO WAY! Did you see how these idiots screwed up the last draft. - 3 second round picks and only one that has seen the field so far - barely seen the field mind you.

Mangini and that moron Kokonis need to be fired after we start 0-8. - That way our new coach has enough time to get his people in here.

Robiskie picked ahead of Maualuga

MoMass picked ahead of Lesean MCoy

Veikune picked in the second round when he would have been there in the 6th round.

Give Mangina and Kokonis another draft

The sad part is we look just flatout awful so far. I would almost be relieved to see Mangini canned if we seriously go 1-15. Then get us a Dimitrov, Marty, someone who would be competent in the front office and at least get some talent on this team.

I'm with you man. I think he needs to go if we finish any worse than 4-12. Kokonis as well.

I wonder what happens when he looses the locker room even more than he already has as the season progresses.

I'm sick of waiting. I want to win now. All the other teams are doing it, Falcons/Mike Smith, Cardinals/Whisenhunt, 49ers/Singletary..why can't we do it?

Give me a college coach please because obviously the former assistant/ex-HC route isn't going where it should be.

Sorry. I see him as a traitor to the cause, though I am sure he would do a great job. I believe Kosar would be a better "fan" choice.

All 3 of your examples of success were assistants... make up your mind.

It's not the fact he started 0-2 but what he has done to get to 0-3

fines, grievances,so called possibly losing locker room,I would not be talking about firing Cowher at 0-3 or even 0-8.

1 example: I never ever ever saw Cowher (or any coach at any level of football) run a QB sneak on 1 down. but maybe he was trying to catch the Ravens by surprise the way he tried to surprise the Vikings by not naming a starter.

Well, if any of those guys aren't up to the challenge, then we don't want them anyway,....I still like Gruden. Was he even asked before we hired Mangini ?

Gruden was fired after we hired Mangini. He was not an option. We settled in our search way too early if you ask me. Before you know it we had a HC with a puppet GM and didn't even survey all of the best options.

We missed on Schwartz. He stated he wanted a project and was ready to take on any challenge. At least our team would be the product of a good, stable head coach like he is going to be. The guy is perfect to be the face of their franchise. We have a fat penguin... The LIONS are going in a better direction than this team. Unbelievable.

Yeah, I dont see anyway you can let these clowns butcher another offseason. Now way. Draft was all-time awful, most fans on this board coulda out drafted them, with ease. Plus, his idea of FA is to bring in old Jet players. It would be nice for once to have someone running the browns that is smarter than the average fan.

I hate doing "hindsight drafts", but I wish I would have been in charge of the draft lol. After we traded back to #21, I wanted...

#21- Michael Oher
#36- Rey Malaluga
#50- LeSean McCoy

I'd have taken the Redskin deal, taken Larry English, then Rey Maualuga, then Loadholt, then McCoy. And probably have a couple of extra picks this upcoming draft.

I'd have fixed the LB corps, RT position, and a back to split time with Harrison.

This upcoming offseason I would look at some of the FA QB's, like a Jason Campbell. I would look at OL, WR, LB, and safety in the draft.

And I'm, a dumb fan.

J/c...

Just something to ponder. If we get rid of Mangini, Mike Holmgren was on Mike and Mike in the Morning this morning and said he'd like to coach again next year.

i'd be surprised if he left the west coast though....maybe he watched the Charger game and was thinking he could do better with that talent

And the truth is I would have preferred Holmgren in the offseason, and I'd prefer him now. But we have to give Mangini 3 years minimum. This franchise already has a black eye on it. If Mangini gets fired, a lot of people will be even more reluctant to come aboard.

I'm feeling a Marty/Cowher combination next year.
