Wana help a young Quarterback and receivers? How about bringing in a hall of fame wide receiver in Marvin Harrison? Who better to mentor the 29 wide receivers we drafted and maybe show Braylon a thing or two?

Crisp routes, separation... That would be refreshing.

I'd bet that Matt Birk(whos on his way another prowbowl in Bal) and Pashos, whos light years better than St. Sackgiveruper.

However, neither played for the Jets, I dont think Marvin played for the Jets. Sorry, he doesnt fit here.

i think you're giving him too much credit given that no one is signing him and he's old.

Oh I don't know about that. Maybe he's waiting for a contender to step up. Dungy made a reference that he wants a good payday. Maybe no one is desperate enough to sign him yet..........maybe we should be..........it couldn't hurt could it?

i'd rather just give the reps to momass than sign an old vet. using harrison won't help us for next season so why not get our other receivers experience?

yes, he lacked separation last year in Indy....and the reports out of Philly are getting more and more disturbing for his off-field life.

completely agreed here.

While signing Harrison might not be a bad thing, we already have an aging veteran whose lost some speed in Furrey.

We need to get Massaqqoui and Robiskie some experience.

Although they can get in there, but it doesn't mean there getting the ball much, none of our receivers have gotten the ball much.

I think Quinn has faith in his arm.. He just doesn't have faith in his WR's...

You know how many tipped balls become INT's...
You know how many wrong ran routes result in INT's...

I think this is the real problem.. let along the playcalling..

Not just that. Why would he want to play for a crap team like the Browns?

His agent would rather put him on a teams PS (if he was eligible) then let him sign with the Browns.

I would be willing to bet money that a coach's tape would show WRs running wide open, yet being completely ignored, on many occasions already.

If the QB doesn't see the open man .... and won't throw it to the open man ..... what freakin' difference does it make what the name of the open man is?

Some of that can already be seen just with the TV footage.

If the QB doesn't see the open man

i think he's waiting for guys to get WIDE open instead of releasing when they make the cut. unless they have a deion covering, the WR has at least half a step on the CB as soon as he makes the cut. BQ is either not seeing the cut or it's taking alittle too long to soak in.
but that's just me...

I'd say that's a fair assessment.

I think he's afraid to make a mistake, and this is causing him to wait too long.

i can see that on certain rush type plays, but not an entire game. i just think that the game is going a lil too fast for him.

this competition BS has affected it too i think. he didn't have this trouble in school and our OL is giving him more than enough time. i just don't see what else it could be.

Yep. That's what it looks like to me.

It's a product of this ridiculous QB Competition. I hoped BQ would have been able to put together some good games early and move away from it but it looks like he's so afraid to make a mistake (and lose the job) that he's just not pulling the trigger until the window has closed. I really think Mangini totally screwed that position up. Totally.

But I've watched BQ since his freshman year @ ND and I have to say that he has ALWAYS overthrown his passes when he gets in a big game and gets excited. That's what I'm afraid of the most.

I have to call BS on that.

In 2006, Anderson started 3 games. The next pre-season he was involved in that epic QB competition with Charlie Frye. Frye imploded, and Anderson started week 2.

He had the same anount of game experience that Quinn has had entering this season. Each had played 3 games in their 1st 2 seasons. Anderson took off ... and Quinn, thus far, has looked like a lost dog.

Anderson took off and landed real quick. same with holcomb, and everybody else actually. there's just something about having the starting job around here. i can't figure it out.
