My turn to start,...

Week Four is off to a great start with the "fourth" ranked Ole Miss Rebels having trouble with Spurrier's GameCocks.

Hopefully, an SEC team will lose tonite,...

Ole Miss goes down... SC isn't great, but they're pretty good. And Ole Miss is wayyy overrated! Like most SEC teams...

Since I work in Roanoke a lot, Virginia Tech has kinda become my second team next to the Buckeyes. I'm not sure who to root for this Saturday in that game since VT is ahead of the Buckeyes in the polls. I guess Miami since that will help us out more.

- South Florida over Florida State right now... didn't see that one coming.
- Cincy in a good game vs. Fresno State
- Indiana over Michigan right now in the Big House.
- Always nice to see Butch Davis losing.

This afternoon I look for Illinois to cover, but lose the game. Kentucky to scare Florida - lose it close. Virginia Tech will win the game vs. the Hurricanes and Boise State to roll BGSU.

Then again, I thought I had everything figured out last week too, lol.

Cal is getting beaten bad by Oregon. LSU came within inches of losing to an unranked team. I'm surprised that Miami is getting destroyed by VA Tech.

Ohio State looks good against the Illini.

If the Buckeyes win, we may move up 3 spots!

Florida losing to Kentucky would be awesome, but I don't see it happening.

OSU defense has been flat out dominate since the USC game. I think something inside of them sparked.

Yeah, I thought the same Candy. It was freakin pouring out for a decent part of the game.

Is Buckeye Nation happy now? I was going to create a thread titled that. As I said last week, I found the second guessing of Tress tiresome and I appreciate that the announcers for this game spoke to that topic. The kids played a great game against the Trojans and the defense continues to excel. I had not thought about the fact that we played them so tough that it carried over for them against Washington.

Special kudos to Wilson on the pick. Obviously the entire defense did their job well, but I really enjoyed the Senior getting that after the bad knee and then the broken leg last year.

just got home from the game!!!!

IT WAS POURING CATS AND DOGS I TELL YA! lol it was insane...i was completely soaked until about 10mins ago...

It was a fun game...i had great seats....and i could NOT believe that we didn't have a passing yard in the first half...that was shocking...but we were running it so well i guess it didn't matter.

PROPS TO OUR D ON THE 2ND SHUT OUT!!! Guys i think we have something special on this D......sure the rain helped...but we played awesome and took advantage of every mistake illi made.

The rain reminded of the USC game I went to in the 90's. That rain came with lightning and they called the game with less than 2 minutes. The lightning was cracking right over the stadium....rather intimidating.

Kinda like our D in this game.

Bobcats are tied with Tennessee

Not holding my breath though, I've seen enough OU football to know we'll blow it.

other than that drive at the end, they were exceptional in the usc game.

i really think this group next year is going to be really really tough. and if pryor can use the rest of these games, and the bowl game to develop, i think osu could be ready to compete with the big boys again. we'll see.

loved my fellow panther thaddeus gibson looking like an animal out there. he might be the best player on the team.

18-10 Iowa with just over 8 to go...

Could be 4th top 10 team to go down...

and Iowa just recovered a fumble as I'm typing...

Congrats to Iowa for upset win.

However I think the Bucks could beat anyone in the big 10 right now because of how dominate the defense has been.

What a crazy weekend...sorta. I think it just goes to show how the "rankings" are fairly pointless until the teams have all played about 6 games or so...

Agreed. They shouldn't do rankings until week 5 at the earliest. However, that will never happen because the "buzz" the preseason rankings generate is too popular.

After this week, I predict OSU will be ranked #10 but you never know. I mean we won last week and moved down in the rankings.

I get really tired of having to point this out,.... ....about two-three more key losses, and the Buckeyes are right in the middle of the mix AGAIN.

Yeah,...that's it,...let's just fire Jim Tressel,.....

HA! And people want to fire Tress somewhere. As sloppy as Rodriguez's teams are with the football and how dominant and swarming our defense is, I think that can happen again this year and it can be 6 straight. Forcier is tough though and he really does have moxie. Ohio State Michigan is going to be intense again.

J/C - The initial hit didn't screw Tebow up as bad as the back of his head falling into the approaching knee of a lineman. - I was glad to see him get up and start moving around. It looked really bad. He was puking into a bag as they moved him off the field. Perhaps just a concussion.

I was a little irked that we went for the td at the end of the game. - Not our style at all. I'm surprised Tressell did that, however, I was glad that Zook shook his hand after the game.

I am gonna guess that was the result of dominating Toledo the week before and still dropping 2 spots in the rankings. You see Florida and Texas run up scores all the time, no mercy. Tressel has always been content to get out with a win, but not to humiliate the opposition. Hell, he put in his 2nd string QB vs Navy when they were up by 2 scores. So I think he was telling the pollsters "you want numbers, I'll show you numbers!". If point-differential is what impresses the polls, then he sure as heck better deliver it. Responsibility to stop scoring falls on the losing Defense, not the winning Offense, IMO.

thats a good way to look at it...never thought about that. Actually i guess that is the only reason i want us to keep scoring and not stop...we easily could have scored 40 points on illi yesterday...but there were at least 2 3 and outs that were only because we did draws and stupid plays up the middle on 3rd and longs simply cuz we were just trying to run out the clock.

PS- we always play back ups in the first couple of games...but i get what you are saying. He never runs up the score.

I don't think it had anything to do with the polls at all,...he was putting crap on tape that other teams now have to worry about. There was also some talk yesterday about some unsportsmanlike junk Illinois did after winning in the Shoe two years ago.
