It defies all logic...but I can't bet against Tebow.

This team needs a leader like that.

I agree,if hes there in the second round.

Oh we'd have to get him if he's there in the 2nd, but we'll probably get a special teams wide receiver.

Nah, Bill Cowher will put together a good draft for us.

Tebow reminds me of Vince Young except he doesn't run as good and isn't as accruate throwing the ball. After a few hits in the knees by Pro LBers what will we have?

One plus for Tebow is that he's freakishly strong for a QB which makes it hard for people to tackle him.

This is part & parcel why he's going to make a great TE somewhere (if he doesn't succeed at QB)

Where's Tim Couch when you need him?

Colt McCoy is a Brady Quinn clone, IMO.

I forget, is Ryan Mallet going to be draft eligible? Really like Mallet.

Also, if I were going to do a non-QB mock, the list begins and ends with Eric Berry. That guy is a monster.

Just say no to Mallett. He is DA 2.0. You don't want that. Alabama took the deep ball away from him and pressured him a bit more and he couldn't hit the short/intermediate throws. I mean there is time for him to show he can actually adjust to it, but he wasn't able to do much against Alabama. I would be very weary of him at this point.

Both Bradford and Locker are juniors.

If both left I would take Locker before Bradford. Bradford in the spread offense with more talent than most schools. Locker plays in a pro style offense with less talent than most schools.

Also, this is Locker's first year playing under center and he looks like he has been doing it for years.

If Locker comes out early (which I don't think he will do) he is the pick. If not pick an offensive linemen, start Quinn next year too and see what he does behind a competent line. If we are bad again, get Jake Locker.

I like Snead the best of the 1st round guys. I'd be worried about investing a top10 pick in Bradford or McCoy due to reading defenses and they don't seem to be quite as elite prospects as the past couple of years QBs (their spread-O's simplify things for them quite a bit). And Tebow is a puzzle of what he will be in the NFL. I haven't seen enough of Pike to know about him in any way, shape, or form.

Another QB that I have seen a bunch of and who reminds me an awful lot like another Houston Cougar QB who I liked in college (Kevin Kolb)........Case Keenum.

He's ridiculously accurate and unlike a lot of college systems, Houston encourages him to throw it into tight windows on many of the routes (making it a better predictor for NFL systems). He also has a strong arm from what I have seen in the OkieState and TxTech games this year.

Interesting guy for a 2nd round option if we do end up drafting a QB.

After watching more tape, I'm starting to think Pike is the best prospect.

he very well may be....I just haven't seen him play very much. Hopefully, with their start, the Bearcats get on national TV more (do they have any Thursday games coming up?)

My problem with McCoy and Bradford (aside from injury) is they play with so much top tier talent around them, it makes them appear/seem better than they really are,...

I would rather have the "Terry Bradshaw from LaTech" type guy.

I like the idea of having our Reed/Polamalu in the secondary by drafting Eric Berry. If we could then use the 2nd to get a solid RT (like Loadholt is for MN right now), get a younger running back in FA or Round 3... Fix QB by acquiring Jason Campbell. With an actually experience offensive coordinator, at least we would have a respectable offense as long as Momass and Robo rise up and we get another FA acquisition are WR.

There's a lot to fix. We need a lot of gamechangers.

A stud Free Safety and a quality RT would go a LONG WAY to making us a better team. Add in a legitimate OLB that can set the edge on runs and get to the QB and we would be on our way to being very competitive.

I'm not gonna comment on WR's, QB's or RB's, however.. .it's just too much of a mess right now. Bring in some veterans there and roll into next season ready to rock.

Those guys would be better behind that pickup at RT,...

I'm not ready to give up on Quinn or DA this soon. Guys lighten up on the knee jerk reaction. I think our QBs have been screwed up by Mangini. Quinn looked un sure and DA was so far behind he had to throw the ball downfield where the Rats were waiting on him.Neither of these guys has had a real shot or time to develop. I know the experts on here can tell after a couple of games if a player will ever be a Pro QB or not but I'm pretty sure Jason Campbell although maybe a slight upgrade right now will not make us a competater. Maybe Mangini should look into getting some real receivers and send Royal back to the Jets.
