So what is it going to be?

I figured I'll make this post BEFORE his start this week. I'm always pretty optimistic.. and will stay that way.. We have 13 games left... I'm still hoping for 8-8 or better..

Will DA lead the Browns to success in 2009?

no qb can save this season. no way we win more than 3 games, and if I had to put money on it, I say we win 2

Joe Montana in his prime couldn't resurrect this team.

It depends on what you define success.

If you define success as a competitive team, the yes.

If you define success as 13-3 then no.

i voted yes because there isn't a maybe. i only came in expecting 6-10 to 9-7 at best. does he provide us a better shot to win 6 games? i think so.

I didn't vote yet. What does "save" our season mean?

I'd consider just making the games viewable a success.

I absolutely can't watch any more of Quinn, and I'm not sure I'm ready to have a panic attack every time Anderson drops back to throw either. So I guess not.

Well, according to the wording of the poll intro, 8-8 will "save our season". At least that's how I read it.

Ah, if that's the criteria, I say no.

Not even a combination of Johnny Unitas, Joe Namath, Peyton Manning and Joe Montana would be able to bring this team to 8-8.

Indeed!

At this point, I'd be happy with one win. - I don't want to go 0-16.

We should beat Oakland by virtue of the Jamarcus Russell factor, the guy is horrible.

Edit - And hey why not the Bills? They have been playing badly, and are even worse today. Miami 31 Buffalo 3. Could today be the day TO finally melts down before the media?

He's made it worse.

I wonder if he's morphed into Mike Phipps at times.

Will the 13 people who voted yes please stand up?

Please pick up your paycheck and get out.

LOL, all you have to do is go read some QB threads from the past couple of months. You'll find them.

Let's go 'miracle' here and say we finish 9-7,...to make that a playoff number also includes a miracle cliff dive by 7 teams in the AFC that already are 4-4 or better. Assuming that logic is failed/flawed, then there isn't even a real shot at a playoff game,...therefore, this season is officially over,...not to mention that it hardly appears there will be any progress on last year's 4-12 record. That's all I was really hoping for this season,...6/7/8 wins. Anything else/more would have been a new tank of oxygen.

And I am usually always the first person on the board to never accept elimination until it actually happens,....

So, no,...Derek Anderson will not salvage this season.
