not a really big problem,, but here goes

On both my desk top and lap top, connected wireless to High Speed internet connection.

Both have a wireless connection to a printer.

Laptop is running XP Pro, IE8.

Desktop is running XP pro, IE7 (i'll be migrating to 8 any day now)

I haven't changed any settings on either machine in months.. But for some reason, in the last 2 or 3 days, I've had some trouble opening up pages or videos or pictures.

I was on backpage.com looking for another little sports car project to play with over the winter. I can't get any of the pictures to open up to look at these cars..

I also was trying to load up some football videos to watch and it takes forever for them to start.

I gotta forget about trying to use Youtube,, that even taks longer.

I was trying to watch a video on the Browns site and one would work, the next one wouldn't.

For the life of me, I can't seem to figure out the problem. I've tried clearing cookies, Defrag, Disk cleanup..

This is happening on two different computers so I'm wondering, could it be something with my connection.. I mean, I did the Time Warner test and it reads out like it's working fine..

help

I meant to mention, this is what I see if a site won't open
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems

More information

I try the Diagnose button and each time it says that my connection is fine.

Open Internet Explorer. Click on Tools and then the Advanced tab. Under browsing there is a setting that says Show friendly HTTP error messages. Un-check it and then go to a page that is giving you problems. You should see a details error message. Please post what it says and I'll try to help.

Not sure what your issue is, cause it could be a variety of things, with many not even related to your setup.

But I will say I have had problems with IE the last couple months just suddenly acting like it has no internet, yet I can surf fine in another window with Firefox. I typically have to open and close IE several times until it connects again. I wouldn't use IE at all, but 2 of my vendors order programs won't function properly in Firefox.

Fixed

Since I have three computers and it was happening on all three, I concluded that it wasn't a hardware issue..

So I called time warner, we did a reboot of my modem and wireless router,, and Boom.. everything is back to normal...

Not seen this before that's why I was buggin....

thanks to those that offered advice..

When in doubt w/ internet issues - very first thing I do is unplug router and modem, wait a little, plug modem in and then router.

That will do the trick 99% of the time.
