Ah.........okay, something isn't right......the link you provided says "on 11/21/09 " he said what I said I heard he had said...(if that makes sense). Either the date is wrong, or what I heard he said was totally made up, as this is, obviously, only the 10th month.
Now, since I found many links to his speech in a search, I tend to believe the wiki poster put the wrong date. Problem is, none of the links I checked had the article anymore.
Anyway, if the vaccine ever becomes available, I'll get it.

j/c I know I shouldn't say this for fear of jinxing myself, but I haven't had the "flu" since I was a very small child. The only illness that I've had since then has been the occasional cold. It's weird too, because I've been around plenty of people who get the flu...I just never get it.

j/c Well, it's made it's way through the whole family. The wife and kid are better, but I've been laid up for a week. I have asthma, and it's really hanging on. I'm not really sick, just lots of wheezing and coughing. 60mg of prednisone a day and hitting the albuterol about every 3 hours. Not much improvement yet. It's all respiratory, I had the chills the first day or so. If anybody here has an asthma problem, by all means get the vaccine. It wasn't available to me last week, and I'm paying the price.

My coworker that was in a coma woke up last week. He is on his way to recovery. He had h1n1 complicated by pneumonia. He is out of the woods as far as the illness goes. Still needs to get his strength back and do some physical therapy so he can walk again. Doctor says as soon as he can walk 100 feet on his own power without stopping to rest, he can go home.

Wow, glad to hear he pulled through. Tough break he caught, but it could always be worse.
