Watching the Texas vs. Oklahoma game an interesting question came to mind. Oklahoma's backup QB threw an int out to the 25 yard line or so while throwing on the run in the endzone. Someone was also called for holding on the offense at about the 5 yard line.
My question is this: If that holding would have been in the endzone, it's technically a safety. As the coach of the team on defense, would you accept the safety, or decline the holding and take the pick at the 25 yard line?
It's an interesting scenario, given the circumstances.
What do you guys think?

I take the field position but yes I could see how others take the points and get the ball back.

If that would of happened, I think being up by 3 pts like Texas is, You would have to take the safety and go up by 5. You get the ball back anyways.

Obviously the situation in the game would factor into the decision somewhat. Myself - I would take the 2 points knowing I would most likely get good field position after the free kick anyway.
However, if down by 6 points with little time left, I might decline the penalty knowing I almost have a sure fire 3 points and the 2 still leaves me down by 4.
It's just an interesting little scenario that I have never seen, but it popped in my brain.
