I shouldn't have said all. But most Browns fans are done with Mangini, and quite a few do suck.

Just wondering how you can say Browns fan sucks. Browns fan has put up with more crap than any other fanbase in the league and is still passionate.

I see Browns fans threatening to not attend games and giving up on their head coach for not winning with a terribly untalented team.

I think the super super majority of Browns fans are good devoted fans who are just frustrated. Rightfully so. Lord knows I am.

But if you had a chance to listen to the stupid girl who has season tickets behind me, your thoughts that Browns fans suck would be confirmed. She is the worst...ever.

I'd say most Browns fans are good, but the views being presented to me both on this board and in person are doing a lot to change my opinion. There's the one "Browns fan" in my class that I have to deal with. "Eric Wright sucks. We need to cut him. He can't tackle or cover." or "What's the importance of left tackle? So he protects the blind side. Big deal."

This is a rebuild---people need to learn what patience is.

I am OK with what we are doing. No one had a problem when we shipped out K2 and BE, but now that we are struggling offensively, everyone hates Mangini.

All Mangini can really say, is that it is part of the process----cuz it is!!!!

I will at least give Mangini next year. At Least!!!!

He put himself in this position, its what he planned to do all along. Now lets see where it goes.

Everyone talks about no positives.

I can certainly name a few.

Less penalties.
10+ draft picks next year
Saving money for aquiring FA
Getting rid of cancers
A more disciplined team in the long run

Mangini is executing his plan--its just going to take awhile when you are rebuilding from the bottom up.

He had lots of draft picks last year, 4 picks in the top 50....you dont understand how unbelievable rare that is? - blew most of them on jokes

He had several good FA's that would have made sense for this team, right now to help it in many ways - passed on those guys and brought in trash players from NY.

I know that some people are just too dense, and way to big of apologist to ever understand, but this roster was laready turnedover by 50%, by Eric Mangini.

It went from bad to awful, that is why fans are so ticked. Not because of patience, but because of stupid football decisions that have been made.

Again, I don't expect the same apologist homer clubies to ever understand, they are busy trying to figure out EM's 4 year plan or something.

I applaud fans for doing this: they are sick of morons running this franchise into the ground, there nothing they can do about it, so atleast this might make a couple feel better. This franchise needs to kicked in the face.

Just to let you know, I have never sucked! But as one of the older fan's on the board I will let you know that I still am a loyal fan But I also see how one could get upset with what we have had to put up with. Now if you would talk to some of the fan's that have been a fan for over 20yrs. they could tell you that not all the fan's are like the younger generation, Im not ragging on the young fan's dont get me wrong, But it seem's the ...how do I put it? the 25 and younger may not understand the true meaning of what it is to be a true fan of the team you root for....Not sure if im making my self clear...maybe someone else can help me out?...anyone?

At least she's just stupid. The guy I sat in front of was drunk and apparently couldn't string more than 3 words together at a time with out dropping the F bomb.

It was sad, really. My wife said "He's why I won't let you bring our daughter to a game.".

I think that same guy was sitting in front of me at the opener. I've been known to drop a few f-bombs myself, but this guy made me look like Mother Theresa. It actually started making me feel uncomfortable, and I don't generally get uncomfortable because of language.

I'm not thin skinned, by a long shot. But this guy was yelling, screaming, and I promise, there weren't more than 3 words in a row before the F came out. The whole time he was there.

After I turned around early in the third quarter and "politely" told him he had no clue about a certain play and maybe he could pay attention and not F so much, his friend said "hey, you wanna leave?"

They did, thank goodness.

I'm no goody two shoes by any stretch, but seriously, F this that and everything in between.....it gets old real quick.

Up until this season, I've only missed watching 2 games and have attended 3 all while living over 1000 miles away, now it's 2000 on a college budget.

I've already missed two this season because of work/lack of internet feed. The Browns, and the NFL as a whole is making this fairly easy on me. When the NFL decides to stay in the last century by not offering games online like every other sport does on top of the fact of the Browns performance...I could care less. Sorry, but I'm not about to go out to a bar right now and spend $10-20 to watch a game when I already know what the outcome will be.

I love the team to death but not that much right now. Not going to spend money on this team when I'm trying to be as frugal with spending as possible.

The league CAN'T make games available on line......do you have any clue how much the networks pay the nfl for broadcasting rights? (I know you do). They do that, then it will be pay per view on line to make up for the lost revenue from the networks, and satellite stations.

Money......sad to say, it mostly rules. For example: There is not a single player in the NFL that wouldn't come to Cleveland next year if the money was right.

There's not a thing the NFL wouldn't do if the money was right.

As I said, too much of this is money.

I completely agree with you. I think young fans are much too quick to give up and rag on their team. They don't have the slightest bit of patience.

Note: Some might find it amusing that I used the word "they". I don't consider myself part of that group.

The NFL could have a very successful online model similar to MLB and NBA if they wanted... They choose to have the exclusive deal with DirecTV instead. MLB tried to do an exclusive deal as well and congress stepped in and canned it. I wonder how they get away with it for the NFL (oh yeah... money).

Mangini is helping to cause the fan revolt by sticking with DA even after possibly the worst 3 game stretch for a QB in league history. There is a point when stubbornness and ego get in the way of even our minimal talent. My guess is that if DA stinks it up again Sunday and Mangini tries to stick with him, that will be it (possibly removed over the bye week). And no, this isn't just about DA vs Quinn, it's about at least looking like you care what product is out on the field and sticking with DA after his recent performances shows that Mangini doesn't care.

Why should they?

You realize this team has had 4 winning seasons in the last 20 years? 9-6-1 in 1989, 11-5 in 1994, 9-7 in 2002, 10-6 in 2007. Not to mention that there was NO team for three seasons.

This organization has given no reason for the younger generation, which I consider myself a part of at 29 years old, to be patient. At 29 years old, I'm probably on the back end of the "younger" generation - but of the "glory years" of my Browns lifetime from 1985-1989, I was 5-9 years old. The earliest things I remember of actual games are Elway driving down the field and Byner sitting on his helmet.

There's a difference in being a drunken loudmouth with no class like you and others talk about and being an impatient younger Browns fan who's sick of seeing garbage on a football field and feels compelled to boo.

"Alright, guys, here's how we're going to stick it to the Browns management. We're going to pay for our tickets and go to the game - but - right before kickoff, we're not going to sit down...we'll just hang out in the concourse and buy some beer or some hot dogs...and then we'll go take our seats after kickoff. That'll show 'em!"

Yeah, they'll really hate the extra income from that...LOL

On another note,, I was just watching All bets are Off with Bruce Drennan. he had that Randall fellow on the phone with him.. what a dork.. Geez.. First off, the article says they've had converations with Randy Lerner.. What one of them had was a brief discussion with Randy when Randy saw him at a game in baltimore wearing his Browns gear.. randy approached him for just a moment.

From that, he got the impression that Randy Lerner cares.. well hell, I've never met the man I could have told you that.. otherwise, why would he hang on to the dang team...

I don't think the article characterized it accurately or they portrayed themselves as having some "inside" info.. which when pressed by Drennen, this dude backed way off of..

Remember, one of these two guys was one of the Charlies Fryes guys.. they are looking for some kinda recognition like John "big Dawg" had back during the time of the move..
I mean, I guess if people want to do it,, then what can I say.... do it. But don't expect that it's going to get much accomplished.

If Randys email is to be accepted at face value, then that should be enough to tell us all that he knows, he understands, he feels the same pain we do and the rest if just grandstanding and piling on.. Dumb IMHO

One thing this guy did say that I wasn't aware of and still don't know if it's true, but he said that in the dawg pound, if you are yelling too loud, using any kinda foul lanquage, you will get kicked out because of a Zero Tolerance Policy....

if that's accurate, that's just plain stupid.. the browns need to lighten up..

But I don't know if it's true.. do any of you guys know?

Why should you have patience with a new head coach and front office trying to rebuild a team with no talent? Are you kidding me? Mangini and company have virtually nothing to work with right now.

I have more reason to want a winning team than anyone. My earliest memories of Browns football are Tim Couch being booed after being hurt, the team sucking, and the fans booing. I have never seen a good team in Cleveland. You think I don't want one? But I recognize that this front office needs time to pull this off, and that this team has almost no talent.

When brainstorming earlier in the year about taking out an ad in the paper, the intent was to send a message, just like it is here. But there's a difference:

I was formulating exactly what that message would be.

What is the message here?

I don't see one, which makes this absolutely stOOpid................

If you want to call me out on the "All aboard the Mangini train" comment...I remember you saying there were some pieces on this team over summer.

And you know what? I saw the 1-15 Miami Dolphins go 11-5 in one offseason...Miami won their game against the Ravens by a fluke in 2007. Only the Lions could be worse.

I'm tired of patience.

And I was wrong. I think that's been proven. I was blinded by hope and optimism.

The Dolphins had the benefit of a ridiculously easy schedule. They aren't doing so well this year.

So I was blinded by hope and optimism with the all aboard the Mangini train comment.

I'm off the train and it's gonna take a big turnaround for me to get back on.

Do you really beleive Mangini will go after any FA's that will actually make a difference for this team? I can't see him signing anything other than Jets backups/scrubs.

As for the draft I'm willing to give EM the benefit of the doubt, but after seeing the guys we passed on this year making a difference for other teams, you have to have some concern.

probably next to impossible.

for one, you're always going to get that group that will go against the majority just for the sake of going against the majority.

you'll also have family and friends of players or people that work with the browns.

i think a message can still be sent by people waiting to get into the stadium, but isn't it usually only half filled anyways because of tailgating and security?

i think the biggest message will be when people start not paying for season tickets again and the team has to rely on single game sales and walkups.

i really think those days are closer than most think.

Stupid idea and it wont happen but it probably wouldn't be that tough to pull off it it had a point.

The stadium is normally half empty if not more at kickoff because some tailgaters are stilll in the parking lot busy getting their last cheap beer in.

It's brought to you by one of the guys who dressed up as a member of, "Charlie's Fries". Wearing a mock up of a box of french fries as a costume he traveled to road games and made a damn fool of himself.

So, once more he is looking for attention. That's the message.

I don't think it's a bad thing.

Embarrass Junior and ManKok on a national stage. They deserve it for shoving this tripe down our throats.

This way WE the fans aren't embarrassed cuz we're trying to wipe our hands clean of this regime instead of being loyal to crap.

Last I checked, Bengals fans did similar things.
