I remember training to use the lifts at home depot ... these videos for sure aren't the only one's out there that occurred in stores. People have died from not respecting the power of these things. These things weigh 10-12,000 lbs. The inertia they get from even small movements is enough to do damage. Those racks at home depot are no joke though, I wonder how fast he was going to shear off the base bolts at the end of the rack to cause that.
Almost looks like the guy in the first video did it on purpose. He's just sitting there revving it up, then goes in reverse and while backing up he suddenly guns it.
When all the folks came running to help, it struck me that the 2nd forklift must have been like one of those small circus cars with all the clowns coming out.
On the news this morning they played this video of the world's worst parking job ever:
