I never miss the CMA's that was three hours of wall to wall fun last night. I was country when country wasn't

I was country when country was still country.

Yeah.
Also agree with Daman about some of today's country being more middle of the road.
I love Hank Jr. (his old man was OK, too ), Patsy Cline, Alabama (nice guys, I met them after a concert in 1984), George Jones, Johnny Cash and the like.

And damned if I don't have an appreciation for Conway Twitty. I hated my mother for blasting his records all day when I was a kid, but now I like 'em.

Music is in a strange stage right now.....there isn't much room for middle of the road, or pop, or whatever you want to call it....if you aren't a rocker, or a rapper, you have little choice but to become a country singer....it's all that pays unless you have a incredible voice like a Michael Buble' and can find your own niche.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

I *heart* Michael Buble' I didn't start listening to country until Garth Brooks came around, he's the one that got me into it. Nowadays, I honestly don't listen to much music. Usually on the phone during the day at work and at night, I've got a munchkin that would rather hear "Finding Nemo" instead of any music I could put on.
