Ok, will this end the Tate talk or stir it up again...but it basically shows whether or not you will like Tate as I think it's pretty accurate.....
he is a slightly less athletic version of Braylon Edwards without the attitude problems

no, that is why I used the comparison.....he will make highlight reel catches that make SC and get you off your feet. then, the next series, he'll drop an easy one that would have been a first down.
the good news is that by all accounts he is a hard worker and might work himself through those issues (unlike Braylon), but currently, it is an apt comparison (IMO)

I must be thinking about Michael Floyd then because the guy I'm thinking of catches everything thrown to him.

Can I get that over with yet?
Ill advised move. McCoy was much better last year, but Suh (this year) is the best DT I've ever watched.

Gerald McCoy (I think you're talking Colt) will be a top 10 pick.

yes, Floyd has some of the stickiest hands I have ever seen....very good route runner as well.
he just isn't the "athlete" that Tate is, which means if he came out this year, he would likely go later and then outperform Tate his entire career.

I hate you guys; I hate you guys so much.
But at the same time, I kind of like it. Put something about how with his work ethic, leadership, and God on his side, he HAS TO SUCCEED.

is this too long? pulling a JJ Redick here to keep things going....
*edit*: adding title as that would be important for the bet
An Ode to Timmy Tebow
I thought you were my victory as you cut all defenses like a knife after I drafted you out of college into your professional life.
Timmy antagonist, gory, blue as a bruise. The stains of your cloud of glory bled from my veins.
How can you dare, naked boot, blank sniper eyes? You barb the air. You sting with bladed cries.
Power. Scary knot of desires. Hungry snarl. Superbowl soon. Why do I have to love you? How have you won?
(note: yes, I have "borrowed" the main bones of this poem from a famous author....I cannot write poems like that, but it'll be interesting to see if someone can come up with where it came from)

A word of advice for everyones sanity. STAY AWAY FROM THE OTHER BOARD! Some of them want spiller over Suh Half of them don't even want to draft Suh

Spiller??? With the top overall pick? Good grief. I could understand if they wanted a Qb. I don't think any are worth the #1 and I think Quinn will be ok. But I can understand if someone thinks differently. I really like Berry and would be happy with him if Suh is gone and could argue Berry as the best player in the draft though I really can't see how anyone but Suh or someone felt to be a "franchise" Qb will even be considered for the top pick.

There are probably 4-5 really good safeties in any given draft,...we can't say that about Suh.

Nate Allen and Barry Church could be had in the latter rounds and will be contributers on this team.

I already touched on this, but unless you mean the 2nd, Nate Allen can't be had in a later round.

I meant any round but the 1st. If the browns drafted Suh instead of Berry, I would be happy with Allen in the 2nd or Berry in the 3rd or later rounds. Georgia also has a safety that aint bad.

I have seen the name Byron Rolle pop up recently.
Other than taking a year off from football to go to Oxford, is he really committed to playing professional football? If he is, then I would definitely take him with a 3rd-ish round pick.
you had a good run Hank.

I think it's Myron Rolle. Not positive. I would love to have him. Has anybody heard about him. I forgot all about him. Is he done with his studies? Going to play?

First off, I agree that Suh is a superior prospect. He's just ridiculous...a complete DT.
However, I think the question needs to be asked if he fits into a 3-4? Watching Suh, he is an attacking DT, a penetrator. And he's damn good at it...However, as everyone knows, a lineman in the 3-4 looks to hold the line first rather than penetrate, often taking on doubles.
Suh can definitely take on a double team but what I see in watching him is that he does it with quickness and strength, beating the double by moving forward. But will he be able to take the double team and hold the line rather than pass rushing, pushing to collapse the pocket but not to sell out pass rush.
I'm just beating around the bush here. Here's the big question.... As good as Suh is, will he be effective as a 3-4 DE? Some players are able to convert and still be great (Rogers), others cannot (Corey Williams). Are we willing to risk a high number 1 that Suh can adjust to a new system?

Suh is much more of a run stuffer than Williams ever was. He is strong and engages at the point of the attack without giving up ground. He's a perfect 3-4 end.

I'll tell you something else, kid has his shoulders on straight. Intelligent, well spoken. I think he's going first overall. There's just not a QB that's worth it, imho.

It won't be a problem..That said, Suh has the tools necessary to translate very well in the 34, at least in my opinion. His biggest assets are his technique and strength.
He can stack and shed blockers with ease. He uses his hands very well to control offensive linemen. He played in a predominant read and react scheme this year under Pelini. His strength..well he'll have better linemen to go against but he'll only get better.
