I just started my Holiday Movie Blitz with my wife tonight..

Of course, I watched the traditional "A Christmas Story"

Though, we started the night off with "Love Actually" -
good movie, though it does have some dodgy NSFW-ish kind of scenes, so not one to watch with young kids... Good holiday movie IMO

any others you like?

A Christmas Story is indeed a great movie, 3 others I always hope to catch this time of year are:

The Shop Around the Corner (1940)
The Bishop's Wife (1947)
Miracle on 34th Street (1947)

Well, I'm only KINDA old (depends on who you ask...my 5 year old nephew says I'm OLD), but I LOVE LOVE LOVE classic movies! I'll pop in a classic much quicker than a newer movie. Something about the almost innocence of them appeals to me.

Well, Casablanca is my all time favorite, but I'm just as likely to put in Some Like It Hot or Gone With The Wind or Sabrina or Breakfast at Tiffany's.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

As tradition, we watch Planes, Trains and Automobiles every Thanksgiving night. What a movie!

The best one not featuring a Red Ryder B.B. Gun and a leg lamp.

Just watched Elf for the first time since last Christmas season. Probably my favorite holiday movie.

Elf was a pleasant surprise. Didn't expect much, but it was funny. Putting the star on the tree cracked me up.

For me, Christmas Vacation and Christmas Story are the best. Just saw in this week's ads that Walgreen's is selling "F-f-f-f-udge" with Ralphie's picture on the box.

My wife watches *all* the holiday movies. Most are OK, but some of those cheesy ones on Hallmark are unwatchable.

You have to go with Home Alone one and two. Those are both classics and I don't say that about sequels often. The 3rd one where they swapped out the kid and had the half-arsed script.... no thanks. Pathetic movie...
