to a racetrack near you!  After a nearly 10 year break from competitive racing, my hubby returns to the track this season. His birthday, Christmas and Valentine's Day presents have been his racing gear. Here's the car he'll be racing this season:

LOL! I told him wew should call the race team "Team Smurf" He didn't like that.  The car is a Stuart Taylor. It's a Lotus 7 replica (like a Caterham) and is powered by a 900 cc Kawasaki motorcycle engine (ZX9, I believe)

haha, yeah Smurf is bad. Maybe call it "Blu By U" or something! I would be scared to drive something like that. It looks like if you flip your gonna get pretty messed up  I would love to race a Formula 1 car or a WRX off road, that would be fun as hell (till I hit a tree)

When I was thinking about my new car it was down to 3, a WRX, RSX or the Si. I chose the Si b/c it just blew me away. Speaking of which, the 3rd day I owned it a chick in a turbo WRX rev'd up next to me and straight smoked me hehe. I blame that squarly on the break in period, I didn't wanna beat on her yet

EVO's are pretty nice too. Some guy has a yellow one round here but he riced it out so you know, he sucks

I just joined. At least with this league, I don't have to maintain a weekly roster. If I forget to check it, it won't kill my season.  Thanks all! We'd love to have y'all come out to Nelson Ledges and cheer us on! And we'll have quite the event the weekend on August 25th. We'll be participating in 24 hour endurance race (much like LeMans and Daytona). Should be a helluvan event.

Well good luck and safe driving.
I came this close to getting to drive some hot laps in a C class stock car. It didn't happen. That made me want to put one together myslef but I never did. Too much money and time involved.
At any rate good luck and keep us posted on the racing season.
