Without a guy willing to put up close to a billion dollars for a franchise, the league is nothing. Without someone/group in the wings waiting to buy/pay a billioin dollars, the league is nothing.

Nah..without the folks lining up to throw advertising dollars at them, the league is nothing.

Football - from a fiscal standpoint - is something that happens between commercials for cars, boner pills and beer.

Right now I'm not wasting any money on a jersey when I have NO IDEA who will be here 2 years from now.

... I've heard more people this year say they're done with this team and are becoming Steelers fans.

Those were never Browns fans. They were just people who tried to be since they live in the area. They are also the same people who will be Browns fans once the team starts winning. Especially if the Steelers go on a prolonged tumble as I suspect they will.

Excellent!

Hey, does DeBartolo have a billion dollars? Would he be allowed to get back into the league or did he do something that would preclude that?

How about the owner of the Cav's?

Steinbrenner is a Cleveland guy.

Maybe we could get one of the owners of a Premier League soccer club to come in and buy the team.

Not buying into the arguments that Lerner is a perfect owner, or even a good one. For the Browns to win the Super Bowl, I believe he has to go. Give me someone who lives in Cleveland, who shows up to the facility, who worked for his money, who eats a polish dog with lots of crap on it. Then I'll have hope again. The boy with a toy has played with my team long enough and I want him out.
