862 yds. and he was on the sideline for most of the season. The doubters should be ready with their excuses about now.

The Ghost is real, and it is about time he gets some props.

I believe he's passed 100 yards in just about every game he's started, I always thought that was Cleveland Brown Football. When was the last time a back had 3 100yd. games in a row on this team?

Haters can still hate, but IMO they have been proved wrong.

NRTU.

While I still believe what I've said about Harrison, he's given us a helluva month and that gives me hope going forward. I think a bunch of things fell into place for him, but he showed enough to know he can be a contributor. I didn't doubt that, I just question his ability over the long-haul.

It's good to know he could handle it for several games in a row.

On a different note, it's good to know our offensive line as it exists today could create some running room. That helps to believe in Mack, and helps take away any excuses for poor QB play, which is vital for evaluation.

To anyone that's interested and hasn't seen it yet, I suggest going to the Browns homepage and watching Joe T's post game locker room interview.

The guy was glowing. Never seen him smile so much in an interview. The running game is clicking, and I think these OL are loving every minute of it.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Personally, I like the possibilities and quality of touches we can get Harrison in the West Coast Offense the most right now.

I used to believe he was an excellent receiver. I've watched him drop a few this year, but I think with more work it'll get the jitters out of him. He looks like he has natural hands. That's a plus for the WCO.

Now his blocking is another matter, but with the WCO, it's very much a rhythm offense with the idea of getting the ball out when the QB plants his back foot on his drop. That usually helps negate some pass rush, which should help cover up his deficiencies as a blocker.

He can help us, but I don't think we can rely upon him and the rest of the backup-types we have behind him. We need someone else.

Harrison started seven games, and had 100+ in four of those, including the past three games. Did not appear in two games. Appeared in one but had no stats. Had eight games where he got 10 or less touches per game, and totaled 43 carries in those eight games with 128 yards total. Just under 3 YPC in those eight games. In games where he got 10 or more touches, he avaraged 4.86 YPC.

Last Browns back with three consecutive 100+ games was Lee Suggs in '04.

I am really curious to see what James Davis can do, because I think we would have a nice lil 3-headed monster with Harrison, Jennings, and Davis running the ball.......I really thought we was screwed at RB but this late showing of Harrison and Jennings has me thinking maybe we arent that bad off after all.....I think the real question is can James Davis bounce back and make an impact?

Agreed there, too.

I didn't say much there but the key is quality of touches. I'm talking about getting him the ball in space and having the run be set up by the pass so he isn't facing what he did at the end of the year and can get yards in bunches. I see him more as our racehorse going forward instead of our workhorse. That is a role that still needs to be acquired.

we have SO many other holes i think we can wait a year for another rb. yes i understand Davis is still a question mark, and spinning Jennings might be a little also, but we did what we did these last few games with what we have now. plus everyone knew we were running when we did, and we still did it without davis. i think we have three backs next year that will be fine.

now if there is no salary cap next year, yeh bring in a big dollar FA. but if there is a cap dont waste $ or a draft pick on a rb.

get me a qb, 2 safeties, lb, cb, wr, rt ( fraley and chop will do at rg for a year). those are 7 positions we NEED. 11 picks and free agency MIGHT get us 5 or 6 upgrades. upgrade might be a bum better than the bum they replace, but still an upgrade.

i just dont see the running back situation need trumping any of our other needs.

If we went into the year with Harrison and the rest of this crew, we'd probably have the lowest ranked RB situation in the league. Furthermore and more importantly, you can find RB's everywhere. It's the easiest position to fill in the entire league. We didn't pay huge dollars for Lewis. We traded spare parts for Droughns. Both of those guys got us 1200+ yards.

Besides, we're going to have OODLES of cap space and 11 draft picks. That's part of the reason we did a tear-down.

Did anyone notice how well Harrison caught the football yesterday?

A RB who can catch the football is a must in the west coast offense. Harrison is not the only RB with good hands but Harrison's combination of good hands and running ability would make him a good fit at RB in the west coast offense...jmho..mac

The problem with most teams they try to "make" a system work instead of evaluating the talent and using it to win. We can't throw very well in Cleveland in December and January. A passing offense must switch to a running offense and when we play a defense that is better against the pass we can run.

Mangini discovered his team late but he kept the formula that was working. If he learned anything from Belicheck it has to be change the defense and offense to fit the team you are playing and use your players talent. Harrison is a full time RB and can adapt and I hope Mangini or whoever is coaching does not try to rebuild a winning formula and does not try to force a system on players. Great coaching is the ability to win with the talent you have not win with great talent...anyone can win with the best players. Remember we were losing with basically the same team.
