It's a world of instant gratification now, so patience often goes by the wayside.
***Gordon, I really didn't think you could be this stOOpid, but you exceeded my expectations. Wussy. Manziel, see Josh Gordon. Dumbass.***

Call me moody when it comes to some of the players in this league but seeing Mack pull on one of the real long runs by Cribbs made me feel good about the pick. He looked like a guy who may be helping anchor this line for 10 years. I'm okay with that. It's not the sexy pick but it's one that I as a former guard/center/tackle appreciate.
Politicians are puppets, y'all. Let's get Geppetto!

If you're talking about Matthews, I'd rather have Mack, honestly...

Here's a guy who dominated games rushing from the blind side playing out of a 2-point and a 3-point stance for one of the best defenses in college football. When he got to the combine, he really showed amazing athletic ability, wowing the scouts and NFL network commentators alike.
Mangini drafted him in the first round. His name is Vernon gholston. Mangini was fired.
Anybody think this might have something to do with passing on Matthews? Mangini's reputation couldn't afford a tweener busting.
I would have drafted him there and oher was next on my list, but between gholston's rookie year and oher's learning disability I can understand how he can pass on them.
I don't agree but I understand.

Did Mangini call the shots on the drafts in NY?
My guess is he did, but I've never read anything definitive.

I doubt it. Their current GM was hired first and had final say.
