I do not know to much about him? Guys?
The Baltimore Sun's Mike Preston believes the Ravens will low ball free agent RT Tony Pashos because they're prepared to move on without him.
This is contrary to the Sun's report in January that re-signing Pashos would be a top priority. The Ravens apparently believe Pashos is just another guy, but don't have many viable internal options to replace him. Source: Baltimore Sun

Pashos had never shown too much until the 2006 season wore on. He looked bad early on, but after the first couple of game he was pretty good at pass blocking; fair at run blocking. According to what I've read he's not a naturally gifted athlete. He worked hard in the off season to lose weight and get in better shape, and after the first couple of games he did seem to show some promise as a good, although not great, RT.
I don't know this for sure, but it's possible that Foerster (O-line coach) simplified the blocking schemes (pure vanilla) and it helped the O-line in general to focus on basics, which, while hurting the run blocking, seemed to help the pass blocking.

Big Strong...slow footed. Seems to have worked hard on his game.
Not somebody I would wish to overpay on in the FA market...maybe somebody who is still there after the draft and could fill our needs if there still is one. Those FAs seem to come in at decent values. I think we would feel more comfortable depending on Pashos then Butler if those were the choices for our RT starter.

Sounds about right, Eotab.
(And btw - do you honestly think Okoye is going to be around by the second round? I think it'll be a miracle if he makes it past 15 of the first round.)

Okoye...lol
I wrote that right after I saw him play in Louisville's Bowl game - at the time he was listed as a 2nd rounder.
I have been tempted to change my sig. But I'm still holding out that NFL scouts will shun him because he's too short and he still falls to us in some sort of MIRACLE -
Yes I know what reality is but I believe in Prayer and have been praying for both so I have refused to give up the faith...
In my mock draft thread - I take Thomas, Sears and Alford 1, 2, 3 in the name of realism.

And he's only 19!!! NINETEEN! Lord have mercy. (And a mature nineteen at that!)
Well...I don't think either of our teams will get him...but if it had to be one...I HOPE IT'S US. (Nothing personal. I just really like that kid!)
(Did I happen to mention HE'S ONLY NINETEEN?!)

Trust me...I've mentioned the 19 bit a little my self....If we lose out on Thomas and Calvin is there...I would covet the trade down hopefully for Okoye...I'll take Okoye and Sears. Two guys I don't want the Steelers to get is Lynch and Okoye.
Year after year the Steelers end up getting somebody I like and coveted draft day. Last being Simmons.
