Just curious if anyone else has noticed this lately. Over the past few years it seems like everyone from coaches to players to the announcers always say in a variety of different ways about "making plays". Here's some common examples: Coach to media after a win - "We just went out there and made plays" or "We just made enough plays to win" Coach to media after a loss - "We had plenty of opportunities to make plays but we didn't" or "The other team made more plays than us" QB to media about a specific play or receiver - "I just threw the ball up for the receiver to make a play" or "I just try and put the ball where the receivers can make plays" Receiver to media about QB - "He just threw the ball up for me to make a play" or "He has confidence in me to make plays" Running back to media about O-Line - "Our offensive line gave me an opportunity to go out there and make plays" Player to media about coach - "I just want to thank coach for putting us in a position to make plays" or "Coach just gave me the opportunity to make plays" Meathead color commentary announcer throughout the course of the game - (In a low, heavy mouth breathing, knuckle-dragging, neanderthal tone of voice) "He just gave the ball to the running back to make a play" or "He's just giving his guys the opportunity to make plays" or "That's what the coach wants to see....a bunch of guys making plays" I'm not ranting because I'm mad. I just think this is hilarious and pathetic. I've always thought that it was ridiculous to interview players and coaches after a game because they all same basic things afetr a win, a loss, a great play, a bad play...they all sum it up in very similar fashion. But over the past few years it seems like now they are LITERALLY SAYING THE SAME THING. And it's so basic. No crap...of course everyone wants to "MAKE PLAYS" Why bother talking to these people anymore??? Btw, I'd like to thank the Dawgtalkers board for allowing me to sign in and make a play by posting this thread.

all those guys say the same thing. i love talk radio, but i will shut it off or mute it when they have an athlete, coach, announcer, etc... they all give the same garbage political answer.
there are exceptions out there, but they are few and far between.
