Seattle has pick #14, they got it from Denver last year for cornerback Alphonso Smith.

Yeah but I don't think anyone would take two that early.I also think Mays will fall a bit. He has never been a consistent playmaker at USC.

I think the original poster was being sarcastic.

I think Pete Carroll will stay away from Mays because he knows how overrated he is. That USC defense stunk it up this past season and Mays was supposed to be the leader of that group.

Mays hasn't been the same since Herron lowered the Boom,...

But,...if I knew for a fact these two were gonna be the Next Coming of Glen Edwards and Mike Wagner,...or Cliff Harris and Charlie Waters,...I wouldn't have any problem at all taking them at 6 and 14.

Seattle needs secondary help...could put Berry as FS, and Mays at SS

Or even Berry at CB and Mays at either safety spot.

Unlikely...but very possible.

Oh definitely. But how often does that happen. Maybe one day we can get that lucky.

Just clicking

Have you guys noticed that the Seahawks are doing what the Browns did last year. Hiring a coach without regard to who will be thier GM....... Interesting.

I wonder if Carroll will hold a QB competition between Hasselbeck and Wallace?

Carroll is being hired as president and coach, I think that would include GM duties sort of. When will teams learn that giving one guy all the power doesn't work?

LOL,, what's really funny is that they are the same team that did it with Holmgren 11 years ago.. Back then when they hired Holmgren, he at least came with an NFL Pedigree having coached a team to 2 superbowls and winning one..

In the NFL, Carroll is rather pedistrian by comparison..

Another funny thing is what Holmgren did when he was first hired here.. in his first week on the job, he solidified the HC position with Mangini, appears to be keeping most of the coaching staff intact and is reportedly on the verge of hiring a respected GM and maybe even a director of player personnell.

Even he knows it didn't work....Now that is funny

Bad idea all the way around. Stay at USC Pete. Money won't be able to salvage your reputation when you don't pan out this time around.

Pete Carroll = Great college coach, nice guy, great recruiter. Good coordinator at NFL level, not a head coach
