Stupid random poll

Besides some fancy recipe, smothered in cheese and bacon, etc., how do you eat your fries?

How do you prefer to eat your French Fries?

Normally I eat my fries with ketchup but I've found dipping them in honey mustard tastes good also.

Depends on the fry...I like some shoestring types with salt, vinegar and ketchup. Steak fry-like versions I just want salt and ketchup.

Though, lately, I've been putting Old Bay seasoning on my fries too.

You're right, shoestring or homemade fries- gotta go with salt and vinegar, but some of the seasoned fries or steak fries, you gotta dip 'em in something.

... and so the LONG off-season begins!

Occasionally, I'll toss my fries with some vinegar or dip them in ketchup. Most of the time, however, I just add some salt and enjoy them!

I voted ketchup but here's a breakdown of my tendencies:

35% - ketchup
20% - ketchup + tabasco
20% - ketchup + mustard
15% - plain
9% - ketchup + tabasco + mustard
1% - Bar-B-Que

Very scientific!

If they are fast food fries i usually eat them plain, if they are homemade or the frozen kind i put ketchup on them.

ketchup + mayo

Plain - no salt, please. I hate salt.

Unless they are big thick fries - then some ketchup.

Indeed... white vinegar is good for cleaning windows, but lousy on fries.

If I am at Raisin' Cane's---then I dip EVERYTHING in their sauce!!!!

FF usually go in Ketchup unless I am feeling like some vinegar. and I do like vinegar. Most don't know this----but good quality heroin always has a really strong vinegar smell. Doesn't matter if you get the powder or the tar.

Love me some french fries with salt and malt.

I prefer mine with ketchup unless they are fast food fries and I'm driving... resting one arm on the window and talking on the phone while adjusting the radio makes it too hard and messy to use ketchup.

Ketchup & salt only.

Fries are the only thing I put salt on.

I knew a person who would pour salt in his ketchup and then dip his fries in it.

Perfectly fine. The body needs salt to live.

Heck, as long as you have two working kidneys and access to plenty of water, salt isn't an enemy.

I don't eschew salt (except for fries) because I'm a health freak, I just don't like the taste of it on most things. I prefer salt-less nuts, too but I can eat 'em salted.

My wife can make a great chicken sandwich with salt on it, though.
