the guy you couldnt think of is Leigh Bodden. the one we shoulda kept the most.
When Leigh was traded to Detroit for S.Rodgers, Leigh was going into the last eyar of his contract, & managment & fans convinced Leigh he was the greatest corner to ever grace the field, than after the airport incident, nobody could tell Leigh what to do, HE WAS THE MAN....We created a monster who had average skill but wanted top money, can you imagion trying to get out of that guarnetted money still, we;d still be paying him if we hadnt have traded him.

I wasn't being that literal. I was simply stating the the corner he couldn't think of that we aslo let go was Bodden & that Bodden was better than Crocker, Lehan & Henry ( though I was pissed when Henry left too).
Believe me, I understand the business side of things & I still think it was a good trade for Rogers. You have to fix the front end before the back end or recievers will get open.

there is a rumor now that Braylon could be traded to Denver for Brandon Marshall...
Quinn and Braylon back together again?
Now that's funny...
Well, what can honestly be said about that. it seems that Josh McDaniels is an offensive guru in the making..perhaps he can get to these guys.. who knows

Ex-Browns Hank Fraley, Andra Davis find new teams By Wire Services March 17, 2010, 8:32AM
Cleveland Browns photoHank FraleyTwo former Cleveland Browns landed with new teams Tuesday.
The St. Louis Rams signed 10-year veteran center Hank Fraley, 32, whom the Browns had released. Fraley made 52 starts in 63 games with Cleveland and had been due a roster bonus.
The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Fraley spent his first six seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fraley has made 123 career starts and has started 10 postseason games, including a Super Bowl with the Eagles.
Also, free-agent linebacker Andra Davis signed with the Buffalo Bills. Davis is an eight-year pro who spent last season with Denver before being cut by the Broncos last week.
Selected in the fifth round of the 2002 draft by Cleveland, he spent seven years with the Browns. In Buffalo, Davis is reunited with new Bills defensive coordinator George Edwards. Davis played under Edwards, who was the Browns linebackers coach in 2004.
KDVR-TV in Denver reported Davis signed a two-year contract

Glad Davis ended up somewhere, too bad its going to be on the worst team in the league this season. I wouldn't wish Buffalo onto anybody.

If we would get Sims on paper at least the offensive line would be our strong suit.
I'm all about getting Sims, and it has NOTHING to do w/ where he played in college. He was one of the actual SOLID members of the Seahawks line last season.

Eh, fans of other teams say the same thing about us and the players that we get.
I'm sure that Davis is just happy to still be in the NFL

Derek Anderson has agreed to terms with the Cardinals, according to Darren Ubran of Arizona's official Web site.
Anderson is erratic, but we'd expect him to at least push Matt Leinart for the starting gig in training camp.

good fit for DA. who knows, he may win the comp vs leinart.

ESPN's Matt Mosley says that Colt Brennan's roster spot is in jeopardy now that Rex Grossman is on board.
Brennan was a bigger hit with the fans than he was with the team. The 2008 sixth-round pick out of Hawaii couldn't beat out Todd Collins last season and is undoubtedly behind Grossman now. The Redskins are also expected to draft a quarterback of the future.

May be we showed interest before we got Hillis. Or may be we just need a fourth to bring in. I imagine this guy isn't a FA, and I've never heard of him....... He could be the Noah Herron or whatever of this team. He never actually suits up for the games.
I have hope in our rushing attack this year. With another good O-Linemen we should be good to go as long as no one gets hurt. May be this guy Wynn has caught the eye of Heckert, Holmgren, or Mangini. But for now, I'm satisfied with our running backs going in, and if we picked up someone to compete, that's good too. But I imagine that they're going to have to be pretty good to beat our the three we have.

He was bc he put up video game numbers in college, but the kid is REALLY small and has a bit of a history which is why he ended up at hawaii to begin with. Plus I think he is older than you would think for a senior in college. No interest here.

Cause Hillis will probably be our FB, Harrison has yet to prove that he can carry the load for a full season, Davis is still an unknown, and Jennings is nothing more then a backup.

just read up on him. aside from the early stuff and not caring about yards/tds in hawaii's system, i remembered he had a high completion percentage.
more importantly, i remembered he almost put up a perfect rating in one preseason game that he played and overall had a very solid preseason, to the point where people wanted him to start over campbell.
the guy is 27 but i wonder if we'll take a look at him.

And what will Lawerence Vickers be, our great runblocking fullback who also is an option to run the ball/catch a pass occasionally. Vickers does everything right. Why would he be challenged?
I think Jennings is gone, Hillis replaces him

I vaguely remember the talking heads dismissing him right off the bat because of the system (Run n' Shoot) Hawaii was running. Also, Brennan and company got absolutely annihilated by Georgia in that Sugar(?) Bowl. I believe he got hurt pretty bad in that game, all of which dropped him way down in the draft.

When we first Hillis I thought Vickers was gone for sure. I thought Hillis played running back for the Broncos because he was forced into action (he kind of was). I didn't realize he is a natural running back who was playing full back.
I think getting Hillis does few things. 1) It allows Jerome Harrison to split carries with a bigger back who can pass block 2) We now have a short yardage back who can run behind Vickers in short-yardage situations 3) We can put both Hillis and Harrison on the field at the same time and either run the ball or pass, as Hillis also can lead block for Harrison and catch the ball out of the backfield 4) Hillis played at Arkansas when the Wildcat was invented with McFadden so he has some experience there.
Vickers will not be buried. He is still an excellent special teams player and blocker.

as i said, forget the gaudy yards and tds that came from hawaii's system, more important to me was that he had very high completion rates (career completion at 70%) in college and had a stellar rookie preseason with the redskins, including a game with a 150+ rating. he was effective enough in the preseason that fans wanted him to start over campbell, showing on some level, he may be able to do something in the league.
that said, i want to know if anyone remember the scouting report on the guy. weak arm? dumb? personality? it can't just be that he's from hawaii that he was picked that late.

fair enough. saw this and became interested. reports i read says he's above average in arm strength but not stellar. http://www.youtube.com/v/IeJN4_iKkZQi think the point i'm getting at is, if he's released, i'd rather first take a look at him than spend a 2nd or 3rd drafting a qb.

Maybe people didn't like his throwing motion? He reminds me of Rivers and that goofy shot-put motion.
Obviously that's working out pretty well for him (Rivers), but it was still a knock on him coming out, right?
Edit: I replied to the wrong person. I meant to reply to dong. Sorry.

Bingo! This guy might be our RG! I wonder what he's looking for money wise. Why would they cut Andrews? I thought he was supposed to be one of the best RGs in football.
This guy could start RG for us.
Then again, this just seems to good to be true folks. There must be something wrong, why would the Eagles cut a former round 1 pick who is a great runblocker?
Upon further review, he hasn't played really in the past two years. I'd like to bring him in to at least take a look. May be he wouldn't pass a physical, but we could at least see if he might be able to play for us. I know back problems seem to never go away, but we could always be lucky. Shawn Andrews used to be a great player and he's still young

As soon as the contract language is approved, he'll sign the deal. In Arizona, Anderson will have a chance to beat out Matt Leinart for the starting job. He also visited Seattle, but would've been the backup to Matt Hasselbeck. Anderson was released last week before the Browns had to pay him a $2 million roster bonus. He was set to make $9.45 million overall in 2010. The day Anderson was let go, he said the fans were "ruthless'' and didn't "deserve a winner'' in an email to the News-Herald. this is where i thought and had hoped DA would go. it's a great fit for him and the offense would do great with his skills. assuming he isn't mentally destroyed, i would think he has a legit shot at winning the starting position and doing reasonably well. is he going to make them forget about warner? probably not but he'll be better than the leinart i remember before he got benched for warner.

If Arizona's aggressive pursuit of quarterbacks this offseason didn't get Matt Leinart's attention, Derek Anderson's contract will.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Anderson will get $7.25 million over the next two years. $3.25 million is guaranteed and Anderson could make $18.25 million if he reached every incentive. (Wow.)
That's the kind of money you get to start second on the depth chart, with a legitimate chance to rise. It's $1 million more in base salary than David Carr saw, which makes sense considering Arizona's quarterback position is more available.
Leinart still looks like the favorite to start in Week One, but it wouldn't be a shock to see Anderson starting before Week Ten.
There have been plenty of whispers the Cardinals aren't fully on board with Leinart as the team's quarterback of the future, and the team has backed those rumors up this offseason.

How could DA fail in that offense??? we all know how DA can play when healthy with weapons. Fitz is one of the greatest receivers of all time, all da has to do is throw jump balls 70 yards down field and fitz will more than likely come down with it. Arizona and maybe philly are the only offenses that da can produce in and he landed in the better situation
Still glad we dropped him cuz he was set up to fail here and wasnt worth the money

It's too bad DA's ego proved so fragile here. His comments after he left make me think we wasn't able to play well when he thought no one loved him. He never played well unless he was the undisputed starter and everyone loved him.

Yep. If their O-Line is as solid as ours was in 07 and for one night against the Giants in 08 (Tuck was in ), he could do quite well w/ those receivers.

he doesn't have to 'unseat' Leinart. Warner already did that.
I have a feeling that the AZ coaches have about as much faith in Leinart as Holmgren did in Quinn.

Yeah, Fitzgerald and Breaston are pretty adept at catching passes thrown at 100 mph from 4 yards away and at their ankles. Hey, good for DA. I hope he does well there.
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism
