Hadnot and Fraley were backup material and did a decent job while with the Browns but nothing I would consider "great"...they won't be missed.
I doubt that the Browns are done adding to their offensive line...I look for them to add another OG or RT, maybe in the draft.

No doubt. it wouldn't surprise me if we added another FA...though a low profile type...one of the guys still looking for a team in 3-4-5 weeks.

Maybe,, maybe not. Depends on what Holmgren and Heckert think of Quinn and they've not said much. Which may be the sign that he is indeed out.
Personally (and keep in mind, I haven't been right yet so don't count on it) I think that Quinn will be a Draft day trade. For what I don't know.
I don't think this is as much a Rebuild as it is a ReLoad.. But time will tell..

Look, here's why I said that.
While if you look at the past year in total, it's rather ugly to say the least. But when you look at how we finished the season, it's easy to see that the team began to "GET IT"... don't ask me why they did, but they did.
That tells me that we had a lot of the right pieces in place but no doubt needed more..
in other words, we had the gun, we had bullets but some of them were duds so we are "RELOADING" with new bullets.
Rebuilding would mean wholesale changes.. Look at the guys we dont' have on the team anymore. Can anyone say they were of great value (except for Fraley which I'm not yet completely comfortable with losing)
So, to me that is more of a RELOAD as opposed to a REBUILD.
JMO.. and I don't mind sharing my opinions...

I would assume that part of a physical is a drug test, blood test etc.. Those things usually take at least a couple of hours to get results back..
But, Ben Watson was in yesterday,,, I would think he had to have a physical before he was signed and that's already a done deal,,,
that makes me think there is something that one side or the other doesn't feel comfortable with yet.

I hate to say I agree with you but the team did start to "get it" towards the end. I'm not convinced they made a stand to try to save a beloved coach or anything. It looked like they were just starting to figure out a few things. The only thing I've disagreed with the current ruling junta over so far is Fraley. This will be especially true if he does this... Link to story . Anyways. The team is not as bad as it could be. I've seen it much worse.

No I don't think he sees greatness in them..but he's eliminating as many holes as he can..there are no FA WR's I would bring in..he can simply go mid-late round and take a WR..

Won't be missed? What happens if we have an injury? Who is our backup center? Backup right guard? Hell for that matter our starting right guard?

Two things,...Holgren/Heckert have a plan for that,...  Don't know what it is ,...  And two,...this is why a lot of us didn't like the move in the first place,...kinda like "not fixing what don't need fixed,..." Ehh,...it's water under the bridge. (Looks like the Steelers are gonna bring him in.)

If you are talking about Hank, he is in St. louis today. I know Pittsburgh has talked to him and he might be going a couple other places.
Savage had a plan as well. We got lucky to get Hank after his plan fell apart due to injuries..

I wonder if we have contacted Darren Sharper? We should, since we obviously have a hole back there and he'd be a great fit. He certainly would be a good mentor and is obviously still productive.

The Eagles aren't likely to sign him either, a source told the Philadelphia Inquirer.
When the Raiders released Fargas last week, they said he failed his physical, but he said that was untrue, that it was strictly about the money, including the $1.7 million bonus he was due.
Fargas told reporters he really wanted toplay for the Eagles.
"I've had seven tough years in Oakland and I want to compete for a championship," Fargas told the Inquirer. "That's the (expectation) with the organization and the fans here. The opportunity to come here and play for the Eagles, a winning tradition, great tradition, great city – first-class organization – it would be nice if it can work out.”
Fargas missed the last two games of the season with a bruised knee and failed his exit physical, but said he was cleared after another exam. He led the Raiders in rushing from 2006-2008, including 1,000-yard seasons in 2007 and 2008. He said he's capable of more than what he produced in Oakland.
“In Oakland I was a stationary back,'' he said. "I definitely have the ability to come out of the backfield and catch the ball. I’m excited about the chance to do more than I did when I was in Oakland.”

I wonder if our examination of Fargas was more due diligence than anything. He's a big enough name that you have to check it out, and the fact that he got cut from Oakland means you're not quite sure why he actually was cut, lol.
Anyway, I'm glad we passed on him.

I wonder also, they aren't saying why the passed on him. But the article says that he really wanted to play for the Eagles so he may have made that clear.. who knows,,

Didn't Stienbach play some center for the Bengals? I may be wrong about that.. I know he played LG and LT at one time or the other for Cinci... But I also thought is played center as well.

I think that Ryan Pontbrinad (sp) is too light in the backside to be a center in the NFL,, (6'2", 255lbs)
But no way is he a wasted roster spot.. dude may be the best long snapper in the league..

I'm sorry but I"m still not sold on Harrison, just because a guy has a few good games. He's been here for awhile. So, if he's that talented, why hadnt he bumped lewis out before now? Work ethic, injuries, attitude??? Regardless of whether you like the guy or not, I believe CJ Spiller is the next big name back in the league. We should not let him get past us.
