IMO Spiller is not worth the #7 pick of the draft.
That being said could you imagine if we did draft him? We'd have the old Clemson Thunder & Lightning tandem with Davis and Spiller again. (Which I'm sure Davis wouldn't be too pleased about, the same guy who took his carries in college starts doing the same in the NFL, yeesh)
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

I think that Ryan Pontbrinad (sp) is too light in the backside to be a center in the NFL,, (6'2", 255lbs)
But no way is he a wasted roster spot.. dude may be the best long snapper in the league..
He IS the best,...I did not say I want to dump the guy, but "waste" WAS the wrong word  ,....just pointing out that any sacrifice here, is a (small) loss 'there,' and that has to be made up by someone.

I'm sorry but I"m still not sold on Harrison, just because a guy has a few good games. He's been here for awhile. So, if he's that talented, why hadnt he bumped lewis out before now? Gone are the days of a single RB team. We need 2 guys. I'm not sold on Jennings at all, but I like Davis a lot. He just hasn't played at all due to being placed on IR, so the jury is still out.
I would LOVE to see Mathews slip into round 2, but he's gaining momentum and may not make it out now. I would have no problem whatsoever if we drafted one of the top RBs in round 2.

Don't disagree that we could use a "Beanie Wells" type TB,...but we need to solidify the OLine before any running game is really going anywhere. I'm just thinking, any of these "good/adequate" backs we have would be just fine behind a better set of hogs; not trying to use up a top pick on a big name like Spiller. I'd rather have Okung or Iupati with the backs we have rather than Spiller and nobody to block for him.
On the other hand,....It also depends now on how this "new" line, on paper, plays out, eh ? We did sign Pashos, so,....who knows.
