I got to say I can't see all the well wishing for DA. The guy came right out and said "we" the fans do not deserve a winner. If he thinks we are "brutal" screw him. I hope he's cut in the preseason and never plays again. Or better yet, I hope he plays and continues to have his sub 50 rating and a his 2 for 17 games.
Maybe they make the playoffs again, and he throws one of his infamous pick sixes to lose the game. I would love to see him with that pout on as he walks off the field with his head hanging.

People cheered while he was on the field in pain. That may have something do it with it.
I don't think he's a good QB, but AZ is a good place for him to be. I wish him well unless he plays the Browns.
We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

Why is it getting old? Because the fans weren't cheering DA getting hurt, but rather cheering that BQ was coming in? The latter seems to be the consensus around here.

Probably because to both sides it's as old and stale as the bread you find in the back of the shelf at the supermarket.
So, how about Rob Sims?

Don't know much about Sims. Sounds like he's a guy that people want to come here though.

I think Anderson is more likely to succeed in Arizona than Quinn is in Denver. Or anywhere.

You know what, that's about as silly as making a big deal out of Clausens Limo ride when he was 18.. But for different reasons..
DA was basically fired.. it's emotional and he apologized.. he flew off the handle.. go ahead and tell me you never have after something rather emotional happened to you..
Yeah, it was kinda dumb and at first I wasn't very pleased with him either, but I understood that he's just human..

What he (DA) said has almost no effect on what I think of him.
But, c'mon, if he didn't know he was going to be "fired" he was the only one in the entire NFL Universe.
He should have been smart enough to keep his mouth shut. Not to mention the fact that I'm pretty sure his response to the reporter was in an email so he had time to rethink what he was about to say before he hit "send".
Let's just say he's not the brightest bulb in the chandelier.....

I'll stick with it's an emotional moment,, know it's coming or not. it's still emotional at the moment it happens...

To heck with that. The entire NFL new he wasn't going to get paid that bonus & no team was going to trade for him because of that bonus. He should have been well resigned to the fact that he would be released. I lost any respect I had for Anderson when he made those very publice comments about every single fan of the Browns. But I guess that just confirms his lack of smarts. He always came off kinda goofy or dumb in his interviews. I had just chalked it up to maybe being a country boy out in Oregon, not being familiar with that area of the country. But he sure followed the low road out of Cleveland.

I suppose what I wish for Anderson is he gets a chance to play. With Fitz and Breaston to throw to, he won't have any excuses.

And Early Doucett, I definitey wouldn't be suprised if DA did pretty well in AZ. Better than Quinn would do in Den. But as people have said, with AZ's receivers and an established offense, DA could come in and do pretty well. I wouldn't think better than Kurt Warner, but he definitely could take the starting job from Leinart and be the Cardinal's starting QB this year. Anderson loves to throw the football and I think the Cardinals would consider letting him do that with the guys that they have.

J/C http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/13079...headlines;other Seahawks acquire QB Whitehurst from Chargers for picks March 18, 2010 CBSSports.com wire reports
SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Chargers have traded third-string quarterback Charlie Whitehurst to the Seattle Seahawks.
Whitehurst has never thrown a pass in the NFL and has played in only two games, both as a rookie in 2006.
The teams swapped second-round picks in this year's draft, allowing the Chargers to move up 20 spots to No. 40 overall, while giving up the 60th choice. San Diego also receives a 2011 pick, believed to be a third-rounder. Wow. You give upo that much for someone who has never thrown an NFL pass?

Cleveland Browns and lineman Billy Yates agree to terms By Tony Grossi, The Plain Dealer March 18, 2010, 3:45PM Updated at 3:50 p.m.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Browns have re-signed unrestricted free agent offensive lineman Billy Yates, the club has confirmed.
Yates, 6-2 and 305 pounds, joined the Browns in September and was an unrestricted free agent. He played in seven games, mostly on special teams.
His re-signing probably became more urgent after the departure of interior linemen Hank Fraley and Rex Hadnot in free agency.
Grossi mispoke,, hank didn't leave in free agency, he was released...

No to nitpick, but this guy couldn't make the starting lineup (?) but is re-signed in favor of cutting Hank Fraley. Here's hoping he has a great career,....

Hey man,, look at how Grossi wrote it.. He made it sound like we lost Hank in Free Agency.. we didn't, we cut him.. sounds to me like Hank would be gone either way.. and if not this kid, someone else would have been signed instead..
Honestly, I doubt it was this kid for hank...

Oh, I know,...I'm just wondering what the difference really is, since both were on the team at the same time.

just b/c he was signed does not mean he makes the final roster. But I sure would feel waaay better if Hank or Hadnot were still on the team to be back-up center.

Daman, I fully understand your perspective, but players are cut for money and many other reasons. Very few lambaste the fans when it happens. I challenge you to find another player that bashed the fans the way he did, saying they don't deserve a title. It was a classless act no matter how you look at it.
He was supposed to be a professional, but left acting like a bitter teenager. I lost all respect for him with that statement. To believe he said it accidentally is foolish. He even said he meant it but shouldn't have said it.
Your entitled to your opinion, but I can honestly say I never in all my years heard a player say something about his former team like that. I also laugh at his comment about "rolling us", as if he wasn't a big part of the poor play that happened while he was here. I believe Savage ruined him with that big contract, almost as if he felt entitled play bad and we were supposed to accept it because he had a good year.
Say what you will, but to me, he sounded immature.

It was immature, childish and inconsistent with what we've seen of DA over the years.. and he apologized,,, what else do you want him to do..
Should he come wash your car, paint your house? He made a DUMB comment,, it was the heat of the moment.. he made a mistake..
Look, you can hold it against him the rest of his life if you wanna.. but I'm not going to..
He's gone, I wish him well... thats it for me..
