Just figured I'd stop by and say hey.....and like Shotty, let ya know I'm still on this side of the dirt.
I guess last season's finish made it the best bad season the Browns ever had (with 2 player's jerseys sent off to the HOF). And as expected, this off-season has been VERY interesting.
I'll tell ya, I like just about everthing that comes out of Holmgren's mouth. He and Heckert seem to be a team of experienced, solid football people which we've been missing since the team reappeared. Honestly, this is the first time that I've got REAL confidence in the people running the team.
Nobody's going to like every move a team makes but I like what they've been doing. Wimbley was an underachiever. Not a bad player...but I'm assuming that MH, TH & EM were thinking that he wasn't gonna be playing so, let's get that first round pick off the team and see what we can get for him.
Probably the same for BQ. He hasn't gotten his 32 starts that MH said a QB should get....but MH is supposed to be a QB expert so he must have seen enough to make his decision. We certainly can't argue that BQ & DA were horrid last year. And as MH said in a presser 'there's lots of reasons why'....but I think the right thing was done there. I'm not the biggest fan of bringing in Delhomme but......I'm certain that there's another piece of the QB puzzle still to come.
I feel confident that MH is going to bring Randy Lerner, you and me the respectable team that we've been longing for for such a loooong time.
