Does anyone know where the likes of DiamDawg,Eotab went to among others?
Anybody remember last year when DiamDawg was loudly proclaiming the Browns weren't rebuilding and under Kokinis and Mangini the Browns were in the right direction?
Its always more intresting at Dawgtalkers when the experts are around.

He posts on the other board quite a bit. I'm a little disappointed Diam won't post here. He was a pain in the butt but did know his football (except Quinn  )
We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

To be honest, I think the board is better now than it ever has been. - Free and fair-minded refs, multiple topics, objective moderation. - This board is great.
- As for where all the posters have gone, hey, let them do their own thing, and we'll do ours.

I agree on the moderation. Feels good that I don't have to worry too much if I make a small mistake.

eotab had issues, for lack of a better term, with the "What I saw thread"(which for the record I really enjoyed) vs the other post-game thread seemingly losing it's favor here, and was mostly all he posted, so I think he decided to no longer post the "What I saw" as of the end of the season, and most likely won't be posting here much. He probably lurks now and then.
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

Yeah,, someone started this year putting up a "post game" type thread.. it wasn't needed..
I liked eo's "what I saw" thread and I hope he returns with it.. In fact, I think I'll drop him an email or PM on the other site to ask him to please return..

I don't think he left the board, but that was all he ever posted, and if he has decided not to post the thread anymore in favor of the newer post-game thread, then his posting would be non-existent. Guess we will see during season if he posts his thread, or injects into the new thread.

I wont miss him. After I brought up something he brought up against me, he didnt like it. I posted how I wouldnt be suprised if McDonald didnt make the team under a new regime because I questioned his coverage skills and I thought Hood was going to make the team (a 6th round pick was also cut early and picked up by Miami). Then he said "Do you want a cookie" and "you might have been right about McDonald but for all the wrong reasons". I did want a cookie and its some posters wont admit they were wrong, even about something so trivial. I wouldnt have even brought it back up if he didnt butcher my qoute and call me out about it. Nothing against McDonald, I think he was put in too early, (no fault of his own that Savage didnt address the issue) and really hope he can turn it around.

Eo and I got into it a couple of times, but we always seemed to work it out ok,, I didn't even know he was gone however...
I liked his "what I saw" threads and will miss them if he isn't reinstated at some point..
To me, he's no where near as irratating as Diam or Vers was... At least he wasn't to me....

Of the three, I really wish Vers would come back.
Definitely the most knowledgeable and most constructive of the three.

let me preface by saying that i don't know most of you guys like many senior guys know each other. it seems many meet in person and are friends outside of this board, which is really cool.
in talking to people who are supposed to be close with diam, it sounds like he felt he was wronged about some things and chose to stay away. i don't think it is because of quinn sucking but i don't think it speaks well for him that he stopped posting on the verge of all the suck that happened.
with eo, it's clear he needs to be "respected." the problem is this board has many more "peers" to him in age and knowledge whereas the other board kisses so much ass, you'd think he was royalty. he likes that stuff so he stays there. the "what i saw" vs "post game thoughts" stuff is bull crap. he has a strange view on starting threads that us, younger users, just don't agree with. primarily, that, if you start a thread, you "own" it and you decide what's talked about. he wanted an objective, literal, "what i saw was ___" thread but the problem is he wouldn't allow for interpretation. he encouraged us to use another thread for that, which we did, i think rishuz started the "post game thoughts" thread and it was natural for everyone to gravitate towards that. it made sense. we talked about what we thought of everything and in order to talk about what we thought, we had to first state what we saw. there was no reason to jump between the two threads and i think eo probably got his feelings hurt, even though he failed to realize he brought it upon himself, as those posts started to dwindle. i was very active in that last "what i saw" thread explaining this very thing but eo either refused to believe me or just wouldn't "get it." whatever, he gets the treatment he wants in the other forum so i knew he was more active there anyways, towards the 2nd half of the season. didn't know he was banned though but he gets nasty when you disagree with him. we shared some PMs over quinn before the season and it started off friendly but once i showed him why i thought he was wrong, it got ugly. very condescending and bellitling, which most of us did not respond well to.
that said, the weird thing is i can't log in to the other board now. i haven't even posted so maybe i got banned for inactivity, but that makes no sense. i will say though that the posts i've read from vers there when i occasionally looked in (and that board really went to hell btw, so thanks purp for this one) was very insightful and held nuggets that no one here posted. an example was a game where DA threw a td pass to momass and his interpretation, and noting the coverage and what DA did well was something no one else here mentioned.
that said, this really is a great board and i'm really glad i made the jump when i did. i'm sure i ruffled some feathers but what's some bickering? we can't always agree, though i find i align with toad more than i'd like

I also couldn't log into the other board. Granted I havent been over there since about mid season, but other than to take a peek I see no reason to go over there. Its gone to the level of the official Cavs forum, which is full of ppl with stupid trade ideas, repeat after repeat topic, etc...

Agreed. I've been on this board (or the older version) since it started and I feel at home here. Can't see going anywhere else even though I dislike half of you guys....
