Have I? I think I've told you my overall big board, not my board for the Browns.
Ah... I hope there's a difference.

How long do you have to keep that sig Deep? Until the draft? Ugh...that's still 29+ days away.

Yup, until the draft. It isn't as bad for me as it is you guys. I mean, how often do you look at your own sig?

Well, inconsistency mostly. I was very excited to watch him in person vs. BYU at the new 'Boys stadium this year. He was completely invisible the first half and crushed in the second half. He seems like one of those guys that skates by on talent but doesn't appreciate it... He doesn't consistently dominate like he should. He just seems like a perfect candidate for a DT with 1st round talent who will bust in the NFL because of work ethic/desire/consistency, whatever you want to call it. For me, the only top-10 player at DT (since it's so risky) is Suh.
It's not that he absolutely won't make it, but the history of the position and his inconsistency tells me stay away.
In particular, I don't like him for the Browns. He's a penetrator like Dorsey, i don't think really ideal for the 3-4. Of course that may just be because that's OU's defense, but I think there are much safer picks that should be impact players.

I was trying to avoid specific examples. I didn't think it would be fair to use such an extreme example.

It is averaging 12 hours a pick, I've got 7 picks out, So I can check back Sunday morning for the 10th overall, which I'm trying to trade down. I think 12 hours from the last pick is long enough, the last pick was 10:46 am, so by 11 pm tonight, pick 4. I can't access internet between 4pm and midnight, if it gets to pick 8, I will post 4 players i'd take in order if 4pm is approaching. If any team wants to move up to #10 and can offer a later 1st and a 2nd, ?
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Just to let you know, I had zero intentions of drafting McCoy. I love him in a 4-3, but not a 3-4.

The broncos ( Pick 11 ) are interested in trading down for anyone between 15-32.
The price will be either a 2nd or 3rd to be relevant to the mock.

This is why I suggest people need a certain post amount to join. Obviously people who rarely post don't have the time to be on here. I can fill in if necessary since I'm not picking this year.

Well, we do have a whole month to keep us busy before the draft. I think it will be fine. Nice and steady...

if you are going to have people send in big boards, then it needs to be run by someone not participating. the overall thing would need a commissioner.
that's probably taking things too seriously though for an internet message board mock draft.

Just a prediction of mine that would make sense if we have problems moving on...
5. Kansas City Chiefs: Rolando Mcclain 6. Seattle Seahawks: Eric Berry 7. Cleveland Browns: Joe Haden 8. Oakland Raiders: Bruce Campbell 9. Buffalo Bills: Jimmy Clausen 10. Jacksonville Jaguars: Dez Bryant

I am hoping that a good portion of this first round get's hammered out tonight.
Now that I think about it there should have been a date and time for this and those who can't make it give deep their big board. If someone doesn't give the big board they have 15 minutes to make the pick or it is chosen for them.
That day could be the first round. Then schedule another day for the second and so forth.
That seems like a good route and still very possible.

Another alternative is to give up to 3 or 4 hours to make a pick (except night, of course). If no pick in that time, you go from their big board if you were given one. If no big board, post 4 or 5 legit options and leading vote getter is the pick.

Only problem with a clock like that is the fact that a lot of people can't post from work.

it's a good idea, but many of us best times will be during the day. and many others best times will be at night. so, you end up with very few people participating because they don't want to guarantee their online availability in a certain window.
i do like the time limit portion though, but extend it out to like 8 hours. that gives fair time for someone that might have something else to do with their time other than checking an internet message board. then again, the person who picks at midnight isn't doing any favors to the next guy up

the post count thing limiting participation wouldn't work either because i don't have a high post count and my reg date isn't accurate of how much I am on here. I have been on here since the org dawgtalker, then the new one on cleveland browns.com (that totally sucked), then back to this one when I heard it was back up. I am on here all day at work and I check it often during the evenings too. I did feel it would go a little faster than this ... I will be out of town this weekend. We might not make it to 22 by then, however! I figured we would be done by Friday! You can fill in for me if it's Friday evening and we aren't to the Jets yet ...

One of these years I'll get around to writing a Mock Draft app for the site so that we can handle this sort of thing with a little more integration.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

At this rate we won't get close to finishing before the draft. 3 picks in approximately 24 hours. 8 hours a pick for 100 picks. 800 hours = 33 days. The draft is in 29 days.

I don't think there is a rush, but I just assumed it would be done before I left out of town this upcoming weekend. If the Jets don't pick till after the weekend, I am golden!
