Right when the season started I bet that Gerald McCoy would be drafted higher than Ndamukong Suh, which at the time seemed like a sure thing. Then Suh had to go and have the most dominant season for a defensive tackle ever.

And Candyman shows no mercy.

Well, I see a couple people are going to need wiper blades for their monitors... That's atrocious, Deep. How long is that sticking around? For cryin' out loud, Candyman, show some mercy!

How is the weather up north? Where have the temps. been?

You know, I may have to take a trip down your way at some point. It likely wouldn't be this year (already have vacations planned), but I know that in February/March/April, I always get a little antsy to get out of the cold weather.

It's beautiful down here at that/this time of year. Good to have another fan as a friend/guest.

I looked across the water a couple days ago and just stood in awe. After 10+ years here, i still get amazed.

My heel spur that has been killing me since early October finally seems to be a thing of the past. I have logged 9 miles since Saturday. I was tempted to go further today but promised myself I would only do the 3 mile loop for 2 weeks to get back in the swing and am going to stick to it. Soon enough I will be back to the 6 miles loop on weekdays and the 8 mile loop on Saturday and Sunday. By May, anything less than 30 miles a week minimum is total failure..weather isn't a good excuse...they make umbrellas for a reason.

I want to be 200 lbs by Sept.....26 to go!!

That's down from a high of 276 several years back.

Wow...it sickens me to type that....which is a good thing.

I, like you Peen, am trying to lose weight on doctors orders. I started to eat healthier, more fiber in my diet and exercise.

I got on the elliptical and fifteen minutes later I about had a heart attack. I was at 232, I am down to 227 after a month of this new diet.

I really hate my job as a supervisor. I am contemplating returning to YSU in the fall to get my masters. So for now it is research a potential career change and financial planning time.

I've got tomato plants that are close to 12" tall already

I didn't get to grow any tomato last year, nor much basil... I'll have oodles this year.

Wow I have some tomatoes started but prolly only 3" tall and some banana peppers that just sprouted. I plan on planting some cucumbers and maybe few other things too. My wife has started quite a few herbs thyme, parsley and basil I think. They are about 2" or so. This is our first year actually growing stuff, though I have wanted to for a long time.

I may have coached my last wrestling team. This year my team went 17-2 (one loss was without 6 of 16 weight classes due to scheduling) and won two tournaments, a 2nd in another one even though we were without those six weight classes

We had 3 league champions (including my son who went 19-2. one loss he had a fever and nearly passed out coming off the mat the other he lost in the last 5 seconds)
1 2nd, 3 3rds, 2 5ths and a 6th. out of 15 weight classes (my wrestler who placed 2nd last year wasn't able to wrestle due to being sick.

We also sent 8 kids to state.

Me and my GF are looking at buying a house right now as we're both dog lovers who need a yard for our boxer and great dane....unbeknownist to her is I also plan on proposing, but the question is where? I'm thinking a picnic by the river late at night...any ideas, I'm so bad at this

Take her to her favorite place. If that's the river, then great.

I'm glad I didn't get that advice before proposing to my wife, I would have had to propose in the mall.

Lord no.....brisk walking.... under 17 minute miles on average.

Good for you, ballpeen.... keep going, man. I'm 42 and always played a lot sports and now I sometimes notice a bit of pain in my knees, not when I walk or run but when I sit for too long without straightening my legs.

I'm buying a bicycle this coming weekend, and will be seriously on the move. I hate jogging but need to get in better shape. About 10-12 pounds overweight, which is a lot for a guy who was used to being slightly under 150 his whole adult life.
I also hit tennis balls against a wall on Saturday (didn't swing a raquet in 2009) and plan on getting back to playing regularly.

I like my job because I had a change of attitude about it. I got a girlfriend and shut up my co-worker and my brother, who said I couldn't get it done. I like proving people wrong.

I am writing my Catholic novel about a girl who sees the Blessed Virgin Mary and may become a Secular Franciscan in a few months. I am happy this Browns board is worth my time

Thanks for the post, wasn't checking Tailgate out much because of all of the politics.

Speaking of spring...I got up way too early on Saturday to go take some pictures of the sunrise over Mount Hood, as well as a few of trees/flowers in Washington Park... enjoy

lol @ Brownaholic.

Vampires? As in Twilight/New Moon/Bella-Edward Cullen-like vampires? That's the demographic I'm aiming for...unless you were referring to something else.

In my book there is a scene that involves the girl (Maria) meeting Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills players, because she is from Buffalo.

People miss way to much by getting up late.

Everybody likes a sunset yet few take the time to enjoy the beginning of the day and sunrise....the birth of a new day.

Nothing like a birds song at dawn.

I agree about seeing the sunrise. When I was in college, I drove a bus for the University. I had the early shift for a semester, so 3 days a week, I had to be at work at 5:30 a.m. I saw a lot of sunrises, and I always enjoyed them.

I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

Let's see...right now I'm on vacation in the Happiest Place on Earth (aka Disney). My body is EXHAUSTED from 2 full days of walking around the parks and riding rides. Tonight, we're going to dinner at Medieval Times.

I like my job, love my husband and baby...we're all relatively healthy and can afford to pay MOST of our bills. LOL! Can't ask for much more than that.

News from my front:

Life has been good, I feel like I'm in a good place, happiest I've ever been. Girlfriend is leaving for San Antonio in 2 weeks to start her Air Force career. Very proud of her. Will miss talking to/seeing her all the time, but I'm glad she is finding her purpose in life and these next few months will be tough and we'll make it through stronger in the end. On my end, a couple years away from law school, so I'm getting to the decision/narrowing process for law schools, so many choices, but I look forward to exploring my options.

Great .... I just got a vision of a sea cow booting Ted William's frozen head across the water ....... with Boston's "Foreplay/Long Time" playing as the sound track .......

Don't get mad, strike back. Hire a yard service and the next time he's cutting his grass while yours is pristine, sit on the porch drinking some icy and wave.
