Pure class ...... http://www.ohio.com/news/break_news/88934877.htmlBiden drops F-Bomb during health care signing ceremony POSTED: 02:10 p.m. EDT, Mar 23, 2010 WASHINGTON (AP) — Leave it to Vice President Joe Biden to add a little, ahem, flair to the signing of a health care bill affecting millions of people. "This is a big f------ deal," Biden told President Barack Obama after introducing him at Tuesday's ceremony at the White House. Biden appeared to be offering that perspective to Obama privately, but his remark was captured on audio and video. The episode quickly got buzz on the Internet. Biden has a reputation of verbal slips, and he knows it. The White House response to this one? Embrace it. "And yes Mr. Vice President, you're right," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said in a post, or "tweet," on Twitter, the social networking site. Video and audio of incident available here.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

I think the point is that the guy has a history of regularly sticking his foot in his mouth.
He is the VP of the USA...anytime he is in public he should have enough sense to realize that he might...just might...be on tape.
If he is that big of a moron in public, what is he doing when no one is listening?
He is not you or me sitting at a Browns game where you can drop the F bomb and get ...away...with...i...uh...no...you would get kicked out of the stadium.
He is one heartbeat away from being the President...maybe people expect him to act like an ADULT human.

I listened to that yesterday... some were saying that it sounded like he used "freakin" and not the F bomb..
Personally, I think it was the F bomb..
Anyone who thinks that Biden doesn't curse when not on camera is probably incorrect about that.. wouldn't surprise me to find out that most elected officials have uttered the F bomb on occasion. However, not often where they can be heard live using it..
He slipped up,, no question about it.. he needs to be a bit more careful in public.. he needs to use his noggin a bit more..
In the grand scheme of things, I don't believe this is a big deal.. But it sure shouldn't have happened..

LOL, I was thinking the same thing.
As for if he actually said it, I can't tell. I've listened to that video in the article about 10 times. I can not tell what he's saying at all.

Yeah...you can run around dropping the F bomb all over the place and it's a non-issue. Scream F up and down the halls at school...non issue. Type F all over a message board...non-issue. Say F F F F F in a grocery store around children...non-issue. Drop the F bomb at a Browns game...non-issue. Say dumb things - including the F bomb - in public as #2 in command...non-issue. Be second in command of the greatest nation in the world and lead by example by constantly making a fool of yourself...non-issue. The guy is a tool...a human tool...but a tool nonetheless. He shouldn't be removed from office for being a tool...he simply should not be VP in the first place.

You're right, it's a non-issue. I agree.

He sticks his foot in his mouth all the time, but to be fair when "Darth" Cheney did it, I didn't think it was that big of a deal then so I'm not going to pretend it is one now. A momentary stupid moment that we all have had a one point. Uncle Joe just has them more than others so he gets to wear the clown shoes and red nose in this administration. I don't recall the left's reaction to VP Cheney's f-bomb, but I can probably make a good guess. I'll just shake my head, say, "Yeah, this is a big f---- deal. Joe your a buffoon."

It's a shame the use of certain adjectives makes a fool of someone, while the use of others does not. Why is it I can ask why this is such a big freaking deal, but not ask why this is such a big F...... deal?

He didn't do any of those things, those things would be issues. He got caught using profanity when he was having a private conversation, so what?
Did you get this agitated when our last president was caught giving people the middle finger on video? I really doubt you did.
That was a non issue too.

I gave my opinion as to why this IS an issue...if it weren't an issue, it wouldn't be in the news or on this website in this thread.
You may think it is a non-issue. Which STILL makes it an issue.

First off.... I didnt miss your point I saw it , but like anyone else that treating this like something earth shattering... my opinion is you all are overreacting
the Media now adays makes an issue out of everything and anything
if your a reporter with nothing to report on, someone scourned by the Health care bill, or you dont have anything better to do... its an issue
to me its not and thats MY OPINION

The significant difference between these two cases is Chaney directed it at someone... it was either "f... you" or "go f... yourself"... something along those lines.

That's really funny Because the MEDIA think it's worth reporting,, then it must be an issue...
Do you have any idea how crazy that sounds?

I'm absolutely 100% certain that if I had been at the signing ceremony that I would have used the F word too.. only in a different context.. more like.. "What the F are you doing?" or "WoooHOOOOO, let's F up the healthcare system really good because we're old and rich and won't ever have to deal with the consequences or the debt we are creating." It doesn't surprise me that he said it, it still does amaze me that he used it in the context of this being a good thing...

Perhaps I'm just a bit more tolerant of the human condition., we all make blunders.. Chaney did it and I really don't like him at all, yet, I didn't care that he did it because it's a human blunder and I didn't chastise him back then for it..
We've all made them, my guess is that unless you are non or sub human (rumors abound) then you've made mistakes also.. I don't think the position one holds necessarily requires them to lose humanity..
IF that's fence riding, I'm perfectly ok with that label.
So, basically, I think you are wrong... can you live with that..

If it wasn't meant to be public, than I don't care. The guy is allowed to drop an F-bomb in private conversation.
Maybe if it was a derogatory or racist comment, I might be more concerned, but this is the type of petty crap that's just trying to nitpit any stupid little thing to make one side look bad ... It happened for years with Bush, and it's just as annoying now.
I'm much, MUCH more concerned about the F-bomb of a bill they just passed.

Were you outraged when Bush gave the middle finger to the camera because he thought it was off? Were you outraged when Cheney told Sen. Leahy "Go F yourself?" No? Oh funny, because no one else was because it's not a big deal. I'm with everyone else on here, he said the F word in a private conversation. Who cares. It's not like it's the first time a person has used it.

It is my opinion...it cannot be wrong...you simply disagree.
Our disagreement is not important enough for me to concern myself with living with it.
Do you think it's "ok" what he did? Or do you mean you simply forgive the mistake?
Or is it both?

Yes I was outraged when the Pres & VP did that...do YOU acknowledge that they are no longer the Pres & VP?
Apparantly the Biden "conversation" was not private. He should know better.
And YES...so should have all the past Presidents and VPs of the country.
Back at ya with these guys

If you mean I don't jump to conclusions as easy as you do, if you mean I sit and think about it before picking a direction or side, if you mean that I sometimes feel the answers to our problems reside in compromise (meaning in the middle) then yeah, I'm a fence rider.. and damn proud of it..
Where is it written that the only answer is found at one end of the spectrum or the other,,, saying there is no correct answer to be found in the middle is insane..

I don't think it's ok,, Never said I thought it was ok.. never will say it's ok.. have you noticed how rarely I curse even on these boards.. you won't see me do it because I find that practice rather borish. But that's just me and I don't feel it's right for me to force my values on anyone.
Do I forgive him, yeah,, just like I forgave Bush for the finger and Cheney for the Fbomb he dropped...

To you and WSU - how about we leave it at this: Biden was stupid for thinking he could/should say something like that in front of an open mic - a mic he knew was open since he had just spoken into it.
I don't care what he says in his office - or in his home. No one does. He should have had more sense than to say that at a national press conference.
That said - it's no biggie in my book.

While Biden is an idiot, and doubly for speaking a blank mind while a microphone is near, this is every bit as overblown as the Cheney episode.
It's just another bit of stupid, and not enough of anything to get panties twisted over.
