How would Taylor Mays do as an outside LB in the 3-4? I think he's got the size, speed, and quickness.
Just thinking out loud.

He's a little light in the arse.
Most OLB in a 3-4 go like 260-270 or so.

He could play OLB behind a 4 man front, and might be a pretty good "46" back. The guy is definitely a tweener type of player.

Most, but harrison from pittsburgh isn't much over 240 I don't think. Not sayin I think mays could, just throwin it out there. Mays probably could do it in madden tho

First and foremost, he has no experience being a pass rusher. Secondly, like Dawgpound said, he is too small for it. Inside backer isn't impossible, but I highly doubt that happens.
Atzinger, there is one main difference between someone like Mays' weight and Harrison's. Harrison is 6' max, and Mays is 6'3".

Screw Mays talk If we get him, so be it. I want Eric Berry or even Thomas, before Mays. I don't think he is very disciplined. The other two have better physical instinct and playmaking skills that can make up for any brain lack.

Mays is the reason why teams are afraid to draft safeties high.. he's a hitter.. he's fast.. thats it.
Give me Berry... He can cover..

So, the consensus here is "Berry or Bust."
I'm good with that.

Is it possible Mays could work as an LB in a 3-4? Sure, it's possible, but I'm not spending my 2nd round pick on "possible" when you got more holes on this roster than on the Titanic.
