He's 12 years old with autism, and won a gold medal in Special Olympics Roller Skating Freestyle in Cleveland yesterday. Here is a clip of his routine: Xander routine Thanks for looking!

Thanks so much - he does kind of like the Browns, actually. We are a split family - Steelers, Browns, Patriots. Makes for a lot of fun!

Kudo's to him!!!! As I watched him skate I thought "dang, he's about 100 times better on skates than I am". (sometime I'll tell you about taking my dog on "our" first skate, as opposed to the runs we used to take)

My sister Jennifer use to work with autistic children as a music therapist at a place down in your area. She found working with autistic children very rewarding.

Wow! He's a lot better skater then me, i have trouble staying upright skating forwards let alone backwards with tricks. Congrats.

Cangratulations! I need to back into volunteering with the Special Olympics. I LOVED it when I did it in Columbus. So fun! And when I lived in Bowling Green, I used to help train a couple of the swimmer. Again, SOOOOOO fun!
