Those of you that get the Starz Network should be watching. I've been watching since episode 2. It's really well done. Basically each episode looks like an hour long movie. Not for the weak stomached though. LOTS of blood. Very well done gladiator scenes. A fair amount of sexual content so it's not for the kids either. I don't know anyone else that's watching it though. You?

I guess I shouldn't post the trailor as there is some questionable content. Go to youtube and find it if you'd like. It's pretty good.

Thank God some else is watching....
It's about to hit the fan. The ending of last week's episode had my heart racing. The writing and story line is just spectacular. It's going to get BLOODY this week for the season finally! I just turned a friend onto it by showing him Crixis and Spartacus battling Theocoles. He was on the edge of his seat. Hooked.

Favorite episodes are Whore, Shadow (Crixis and Sparty fight), and The one where he fought 6 guys from Thrace. However, I thought last week was a really good episode.

My wife and I LOVE this show. We DVR it every week. You are right about it not being for kids...we call it our "porno"...LOL. But frankly I could care less about the oppulant sex and violence. OK yeah it is cool..they mimic "300" and such...But the storyline is fantastic. The twists and deceptions and the friendships made, lost, and played....make this a GREAT show...
I mean I know the history of this story and yet I am glued to my seat every week. For example. I knew that Crixus was one of Spartacus' generals. But they have hated each other since episode 1. So it was really interesting to see how they were going to get them to ally with each other.
I loved this last episode when Glaber decides to test Spartacus and send all of his Roman soldiers to compete with full blades agaist Spartucs' wooden practice sword. And after each defeat, no matter how many Glaber sends, Spartacus just glares at him....I thought it was awesome...
I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken...

Agreed, definitely like the show. I had a feeling that the only way the writers could get Crixus to the other side was by giving him the same type of scenario that Sparty faced. The one thing that kind of bugs me though is that just when they seem to get a good character worked in, they kill him/her off. Oh well. Can't wait for this week

What I'm wondering is if next season they're going to do the whole rebellion thing. I thought i remembered some of the producers saying they wanted to "chronicle" his gladiator days leading up to the rebellion. I hope they do. Can't wait to see Glaber get the beatdown.

Well if I remeber my history correctly....it was Crassus who eventually took him down. And if you think about it...they did set this up abit with the cousin of Crassus being killed. It is not a stretch of the imagination to see them blame this death on Spartacus in order to get Crassus after him. (Although The massive Power grab over Rome was a good enough reason for Crassus if I remember the real life situation)

I hate it.
The show tries very hard to be the next ROME. It also tries too much to be the next 300.
Epic fail, IMHO.

I agree with MFSO4 that I couldn't disagree more with Charlie. I never caught Rome as I don't have HBO. What I do have is a really entertaining show in Spartacus. You can compare it to Rome, 300, or what ever if you want. Standing alone, it's great TV.

Totally addicted to this show. One of the best I've ever seen. Can't wait for tonight's episode.
Hopefully, there will be a season 2 if Andy Whitfield gets healthy.

I have been following this show since the 3rd episode and it is great. I too am hoping for a 2nd season. I have been going back and re-watching some episodes on Netflix instant play to catch what I missed the first time.

The way Varro went down had me ticked off. Kind of predictable he was a goner....but not like that.

Just started watching it on Netflix.
Got the Netflix Wii disc, and watch online, I was surprised at the picture quality over the Wii Wireless.
Watched the first 2 episodes yesterday, probably do 1 a day now. So far, I'm really enjoying it.

You guys see that the main guy was just diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma? They're talking about pushing the next season back a year. Link

Yeah i saw that. I also heard that they may do a prequel with a different actor as a young Spartacus. I personally think that would be weird but whatever I'd watch it.
By the way "Kill Them All' is the best episode in the series.
